1988 Pontiac Trans Am GTA Description

For sale is a 1988 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am GTA Notchback that is completely original and rust free. The GTA Notchback was a short-lived option only available in 1988 and a only very few in 1989. Only 718 GTA's produced were notchbacks, with only 94 being delivered to the Canadian market, and only 100 of the 718 came with the digital dash, making it very rare. This 1988 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am GTA Notchback is powered by a strong 5.7L TPI V8 engine, backed by a 4-speed 700r4 automatic transmission, and which run and drive great. We just drove this car back from Montreal to Pontiac IL and it ran like a dream. The radio trim piece is on its way and will come with the car. We have all the paperwork for the car being imported back into the states legally. Title is on the way and has been filed for.

A lot of small repairs have been made in the past year: new radiator, radiator cap, hood struts, thermostat, heater core, battery, accessories belt, headlights, temperature sensor, MAF sensor.

However, the car, being completely original, does have a couple small issues (after all it is 29 years old!): the air conditioning needs to be fixed (does not work), the paint, being original, is starting to lose its clear coat near the back panels and part of the paint is chipped on the fiberglass trunk. See pics ont he back notchback. Inside the car, the cloth ceiling needs to be re-glued. The car pulls a bit to the left on the highway, the suspension is starting to get a bit tired.

The car is sold as is and has89750 miles on it, I have done my best to describe the car completely, feel free to contact me for more information.
