I purchased this GTO for my collection some time ago from the original owner (s). The father bought it new off the lot in 67'. Ordered just the way he wanted it. Power Steering, Brakes, A/C, Buckets, Console, Hurst His/Hers Shifter, Rally II Wheels, ect. He drove it as a second car for about 10 years in fair weather only and gave it to his son to drive in the late 1980's. The car had a repaint in correct Tyrol Blue, the Cordova top appears to be original and in great shape. The interior is in excellent shape! Excellent and firm seats. I do believe the foam was replaced at some point because they feel new, but they are Naugahide (sic) brand 67 covers if I remember correctly. The drivetrain was rebuild some 10,000 miles ago and the car went on the local car show circuit.
The car starts right up even after sitting for weeks, and if you could sell a car on how they drove, this car would be priceless. The car is just very tight, solid, and very quick. It's hard to explain. When you have owned as many of these as me, you can understand what I am saying, a car that has never been apart just drives better.
The car has no rust, no patches in the floors, excellent door shell to skin definition in the corners, nice rocker pinch welds, perfect frame, and isn't loaded with bondo. This car has had a very easy life.
The car comes with Rally II wheels as well with White Letter Tires that will come in the trunk, complete with rings, caps, lug nuts...well...I'm not too sure I still have the Rally II lugs sitting around. If I can find them they are yours.
I have this car for sale outside of eBay and the car may be removed in the event of a local sale or a sale outside of eBay.
I priced this car at a "no nonsense" price. My hobbies have changed and it is time for someone else to enjoy it.
Third Party Inspections are encouraged, I can also give you any info you would like about the car as I am pretty knowledgeable when it comes to these Goats.
