1968 Pontiac Firebird -- Description

1968 Pontiac firebird v8 Relisted due to buyer stating he accidentally bid the wrong amount. So we are using the fixed price method this time around. He had good feedback and I have the screenshot of his ridiculous explanation if you'd like to see it. I drove this car a few miles today, it sounds great and drives fairly well. The engine carries a good 20 psi oil pressure at idol after warm up, sounds solid internally. The temp at idol... sat at 190. Didn't heat up on the drive either. Seemed like a good reliable car from the drive. The transmission is a 2 speed and shifts well. The car drifts to the left when you let go of the wheel. The brakes stop the car, but they are drum all around so some effort is required. The car feels nice going down the road, not loose or clunky. Motor doesn't smoke. I don't know if the motor is correct or numbers matching. Couldn't see the numbers to identify it ( no space to view block near the fire wall). The park gear selection doesn't hold the car still. The parking brake works fine though. The air cleaner is missing the bolt and nut that hold it on. Fuel gauge doesn't work. The other gauges do work. The turn signal won't stay on when activated for right turn it returns to off position. Left turn works as it should. I didn't check all of the lights. I was told by a guy at a gas station that a reverse light was out. Not sure if ther are any other non functioning lights. The starter occasionally will just click instead of start the car. After trying a few times it cranks and fires right up. It just does that randomly, on some starts it is normal on the first try. The blower motor for the climate control does not work. The radio does not work. Windshield wiper worked fine. The odometer works but the title says brand "c" not actual mileage, so we will sell it that way as not actual. There are some floor pan patches and some rust on the floors that can be seen under the car. I took lots of pictures so that you can see. The frame looked good to me. The body has been wet sanded and buffed and the paint looks great except for the imperfections that I took close up pictures of. There are a few bubbles and small chips and scratches. The edges near where the back glass meet the body are not very nice but over all the car looks great. The body is fairly straight also. I give it a b+ for straightness. I've dealt in high end euro cars for years so if I say it's fairly straight it really is. It's not a perfect car but it really is a nice driver. Before using this car I recommend having it gone over by a technician to make sure that it is road worthy. If you decide to drive it home instead of shipping it that is fine, but all risk is yours including but not limited to safety, and or reliability. I personally would not drive it any distance until I had it serviced and gone over. The car has good power and is fun to drive. I'm proud to represent it and I believe someone will be very happy to own this car. I have listed everything that I noticed while going over it. I'm sure there are some small things that I could have missed. This car is being sold as is where it is with all faults, past, present, and future. The vehicle is located on a farm in a garage near the Hartford county and Baltimore county line in Maryland zip code 21087. This car Is titled in my company name as shown on the actual title pictured. The car will be sold as not actual mileage because the odometer doesn't function. I am not aware of weather or not this car is original, I don't know what drivetrain it is equipt with nor what it came with from the factory. It is strictly as it is. All proceeds will be transferred to the family of my late great friend and investor who holds financial interest in this vehicle and many other classic and collectible cars. I'll be selling the bulk of his collection on behalf of his family. Please save me as a favorite seller to see some of the other upcoming cars. He and his family have been investors with my company for many years. I ( paul Nouvet president of car plaza llc) will be in charge of all things related to the sale and delivery of this car including the transferring of funds from the buyer to the family and transferring the title to the buyer. I have the vehicle title in hand and ready to turn over to the successful auction winner. All documents will be properly executed and payment cleared before the release of the title or vehicle. Any questions please feel free to call me directly at 443-345-5231 The following applies to all sales. We sell cars that are accurately described. Don't be afraid to bid or buy, because if you do you'll be glad you did! The successful buyer will be required to pay a $500 deposit via Paypal within 4 hours of the end of the auction. Dealers will pay the same $200 dealer processing fee, exactly the same as the public. All rules apply to dealers as well. We are a licensed and bonded dealership located within the state of Maryland. We are able to provide you with a temporary tag as long as you have insurance and proper I.D. of course (see terms and conditions for pricing). This vehicle can be viewed and test driven 24 hours prior to the end of the auction with an appointment made 24hours in advance only. The Exact Address where this vehicle is stored will be provided at that time. The vehicle is stored in Maryland 20 miles north east of Baltimore. Please take time to read my feedback comments. The dealership is a small place with a fantastic staff of good hard working people. I'm the owner (Paul Nouvet), and I handle all of the ebay sales personally. I have sold more than 200 cars on eBay and have been an ebay member since 2001. Picking up your car: We prefer you to fly in and pick up your car in person. Unless the vehicle is described as in poor or unsafe running condition ( in that case please ship the car) if you do fly in, I will personally pick you up from B.W.I. airport anytime day or night (24hr advance notice needed ). If you decide to ship your car we will require all payments to be cleared before the vehicle is released and all of the paperwork must be completed 100% before the vehicle is released. We usually don't get much involved in shipping as we have no control of private shipping company’s behavior, timelines, and communication. we can make sure that the car gets onto the truck, once its on the truck all liability shifts to you and the shipping company. We do not provide shipping insurance, we do not own a shipping company. Final payment must be made by cashiers check, wire transfer, or cash (cashiers checks must be made out to Car Plaza LLC ). We do not take Paypal for final payments, only for the $500. deposit. I'm sorry for all of the red tape but it is meant to protect both our company and the buyer from having any trouble with the transaction. If you want to purchase a warranty, we do sell Guardian warranties for eligible vehicles. Call me for pricing. Not all vehicles are eligible because there are mileage restrictions and age restrictions that vary from car to car. I've learned over the past 13 years of internet sales how to make this painless, so just call me on the phone and we'll work everything out in the most efficient way possible (my cell# 443-345-5231 Paul). I assure you that you'll find me positive and friendly with a wealth of knowledge. Your calls and questions are welcome here at Car Plaza LLc. Give me a call.
