1966 Pontiac Catalina 2+2 Description

Pontiac only made the 2+2 for 3 years, which is a Catalina body with bucket seats (2) console, and dual exhaust (plus 2). This one has a very strong, 4-bolt main, 421cu, with tri-power carbs and original Hurst 4-Speed manual transmission. This is a "go-fast" car without power steering, power brakes, or air conditioning.
The color is original with a very old repaint from decades ago. The body is straight and 99% rust free. There's a quarter sized blister on the rear bottom of drivers side fender and a 3" blister on the lower right rear quarter panel (see close-ups). The underside, frame, components are rust free (see pics). Vinyl top is original. Left rear quarter panel was replaced back in the day along with some light bondo work on the right quarter.
The engine is original to the car (see matching numbers in pics) and was completely rebuilt back in the late 90's. Since then, I've only put on perhaps 1000 miles--running it back and forth to local car shows. Runs better than my new car--very smooth, strong, and sounds great. Doesn't burn nor leak any oil. After 9 months in storage, it starts right up with a few pumps on the throttle. Was originally a 4bbl car. I installed the Tri-Power, which is the correct one for the car. I do have the original factory intake and carb.
The interior is all original except for the carpet, which was replaced with factory correct carpet. A few of the seams have split and the dash has a large crack
