1968 Pontiac GTO Description

1968 Pontiac GTO for sale. Genuine 242 car, matching numbers. Driver quality paint job. PHS documented. 400 CID big block. 4 speed manual. Engine is blown. I spoke to around 10 different mechanics when the engine blew, and they all agree it is most likely a spun main bearing. The engine does not turn over. This vehicle has been repainted, but was repainted to the factory color from the body plate. (Flambeau Burgundy). There has been minor body work done (with body filler) around the rear fenders 1-2 inches from the wheel opening, but only in spots, prior to the repaint. The underside is about 90% rust free. The gas tank is rusted out on top. The interior is nearly perfect, though the rear arm rests are removed (but included). No rips or tears in the carpet or upholstery. Odometer is frozen at 52244. All gauges worked the last time the vehicle was run (except for the gas gauge), though the dashboard lights were extremely dull. Pics included are approximately one month old, so the vehicle looks now as it did then.
