1968 Pontiac GTO Description
I have decided to sell my 1968 Pontiac GTO . The car has been restored for a couple years now. The car has been restored from the bottom to the top. I bought the car May 30th of 2015 as a painted running hull. I have finished the car and showed it for couple years now at Goodguys and local events. The frame has been painted with new body bushings and brake lines and fuel lines and new fuel tank, The car has new brakes with 2 new drums and spring kits, new shocks, new lower control arms,the tires have maybe 3000 miles now with fully restored rims with new cap, new chrome stainless beauty rings not shown in pictures(just installed) and correct lug nuts. I installed a factory safty trac posi unit onto the original 2.93 rear gears with new pinion seal. I installed new joints in the driveshaft, The trans was rebuilt before i got the car but when i pulled the motor i installed new trans seals front and rear and new modulator and restored the trans case. The motor was rebuilt when i got the car and i wanted to tweak it a little so while it was out of the body for correct paint and restoration i went thru it again and installed Ram Air 4 rockers with new BBC 7/16 screw in studs and SPC 7 cam and lifters which is a perfect cam for a automatic car . I also eliminated the exhaust gate on the passenger manifold and ported center ports. The motor has new mini starter, water pump, fuel pump with new oe line, new valve covers, new water and oil sending units, with new choke pull off and restored carb with new air cleaner lid with correct color coated vacuum lines, I bought every piece for the Air Conditioning that could be bought from Old Air products and restored the air to new condition with new POA valve and restored air box with new dust boot, new heater core and new fan motor. The car has aluminum radiator, new power steering lines and cap, new alternator with new alternator brackets from AMES. The car has new Petronix HEI distributor with new wires and engine harness, rebuilt washer pump with new hood nozzles, Wilwood master cylinder and new booster(chrome in pictures replaced with factory zinc coated).Everything inside the car is new even the seat foam except for the seat belts and the hull of the console which cant be bought,new factory correct floor mats, factory radio is restored with added phone hook up hidden in console,bass boost with bose speakers.The car has all new glass and most of the chrome is new, back bumper is original. The car has best i can tell new hood, quarters, inner fenders, radiator support and rockers and floor pans. There is probably a lot i am forgetting.
