1968 Pontiac Firebird Description

Very rare 1968 Pontiac Firebird project. It is a factory Starlight Black with Black Deluxe Interior 400, manual 4 speed car. It spent almost its entire life in California save for the last year here in Phoenix. It retains its original Black California License Plates from 1968. It would be hard to imagine a rarer non Ram Air Firebird for 1968.
This car is going to make a heck of a project for someone. I am excited for the winning bidder. It may look ugly now, but restored...it will be beautiful.

Because it is a California car, the car appears to be completely rust hole free. That said, there could be pinholes in the floor someplace, but I have not seen it. That's my eBay disclosure for you.
Very, very hard to find a 51 year old car in this shape. The only exterior damage of significance is the dent in the right front fender. It has it's original numbers matching motor out of the car. It also has it's original muncie M20 4 speed.
I bought it not because I wanted another bird (I own several). I bought it because I've never seen such a rust free original car, let alone Black on Black Deluxe 4 speed with its original drive train. The car needs to be completely restored obviously, but its a very honest project that won't send you on a wild goose chase searching for expensive parts to restore it. You won't have to park it at a body shop for two years waiting for the body guy to weld the quarters on properly... The amount of time and money this car will save you restoring it is tremendous. If you've restored a muscle car, you know what I am talking about.
Here's what it is missing of significance: Carburetor, Radiator, Flywheel, Bellhousing, Shifter. It even still has the original exhaust manifolds.
A $500 non refundable deposit must be received within 24 hours of the end of the auction. A wire transfer or Cashier's check is required 72 hours after the end of the auction for the remaining amount due. I will do my best to assist in helping your transporter. I can put the parts and bolt the block back in to help in transportation.
