1966 Pontiac GTO Description

Thank you for viewing my 1966 GTO for sale. This is a complete number matching vehicle front to bac, as built from the factory, never modified or molested in any way. I purchased last year in virtually all original survivor shape with 100% original interio, chrome, untouched engine compartment and had a previous repaint many many years ago and 69,000 original miles. It is equipped with the original 389/4 barrel engine, 2 speed trans and 3.23 posi rear. It is optioned with power steering, power brakes, reverb radio that works, rally I wheels, deluxe seat belts and factory floor mats The car was so nice in every way I decided I wanted to strip and repaint the car over the winter, and as usua, got a little carried away. In order to do a quality repain, the complete interior was removed and detailed . It is 100% original inside, the seats, carpet, floor mats, dash, door panels, headliner and even sill plates are the ones it left the factory with. The only noticeable flaw in the interior is a small hole driver side of headliner. I then removed the engine and transmission to reseal and detail. all gaskets in the engine were replaced including rear main seal. I installed a new timing chain and gears while apart. The original carb has a fresh rebuild, the radiator and fan clutch were a little weak, so I purchased new but saved originals. The trans has new front and rear seals along with new filter and pan gasket. the undercarriage was rustproofed when new, so most was removed, properly detailed with correct overspray on floors as original. The exterior chrome is nearly all original. I replaced the door handles, driver mirro, lower rear qtr trim and a couple emblems. As stated earlier this car is the definition of matching numbers !! The engine, trans, rear end, carb, alternator and distributor are the factory installed originals. I have pics of all numbers and date codes if needed. The colors are factory as per trim tag and PHS and report original window sticker. The car was sold new at Willis Pontiac in Canton, Ohio and stayed in NE Ohio it's whole life. The rally I wheels still have the original centers and trim rings. I did this car with intention of driving and showing locally, not to sell. But, another recent car purchase has me moving in different direction. Please call me at 330-five 40-9843 with questions. I will be glad to discuss in depth, do not email or text. It is getting impossible to find virgin GTO's like this one that were never butchered, raced, made into tripower or 4-speed cars
