1967 Pontiac Firebird Description

up for auction is a first year production 1967 firebird coupe. this vehicle restoration was started 20 years ago by my late uncle. During the unfinished restoration process many new parts were added. two New GM quarter panels, new truck lid, new truck floor, new rear leaf spring and multiple other suspension parts including a new set of bolt in frame connectors. Car received numerous floor patches that appear to have been brazed in ( old school methods). upgraded with a Big Block Pontiac 455ci engine mated to a Pontiac 400 automatic transmission. according to the vin (337) was originally a 6 cylinder car. Added to the engine as an upgrade were 1969 Pontiac 400 cast iron cylinder head ( casting 15) and a 1970 ram air III intake 4 barrel manifold ( casting 9799068). Ive have never attempted to start the engine but it is free and turns over well. Engine also equip with long tube headmen headers and 4 barrel 4150 holley carb ( with date code of unk what for). Like I had mentioned earlier this car ahs been undergoing restoration for 20-25 year and most of the work is roughed in and in need of finishing. I have a full set of front and rear seats that have been completely restored and recovered with original GM material covers. As you can also see the pics I have a lot of the hard to find parts needed to complete restoration as well has some doubles. My plan for this car was to convert it to a four speed so included in sale will be the flywheel, bellhousing and four speed pedals needed for conversion. The worst part of car id the outer rockers, lower fenders and rear window channel. I have a clear NYS transferrable registration ( NYS does no issued titles for classic car). The car is what it is. I know it needs work and clean up but it a good start or parts car. I've priced it accordingly. Good Luck and any question or additional pics need just ask.
