1969 Pontiac GTO Tri-Powered 400 V8 TH-400 AT Red with Black Interior & Top
1969 Pontiac GTO Description
1969 Pontiac GTO (Real GTO, Not a Clone)
This is a head turner of a classic. You will be sure to catch attention driving down the road in this beautiful American classic. Many consider 1969 to be the last of the golden years for muscle cars. Ironically so, Pontiac decided to release their most promising GTO, The Judge.
The design of the 1969 GTO had little change from the previous year. The few changes that did occur were the removal or replacement of the emblem from several locations, and the Endura bumper was back, but this time with no optional chrome.
The Judge was standard equipped with the Ram Air III, but had the same options as the base model GTO. Also to note, the 1969 GTO The Judge convertible with the Ram Air IV was the most rare, having only five produced. That being said, this is NOT a Judge.
Car is in very good to excellent condition. Engine is a rebuilt 400 cu.in. V8. Originally had 4-barrel carb but has been changed to 3 2-barrel carbs. The car has factory exhaust manifolds, not headers, with dual exhaust. Transmission is a TH-400 Automatic column shift. Has a 12 bolt posi rear end.
Car has been painted 2000 Viper Red. Paint is beautiful but does have some cracks on front bumper(nose). There is also a very small ding on lower drivers door. Interior is black vinyl with black vinyl top. Dash has a small crack & a couple spots on front seat where stitching is coming loose.
Car has Cragar wheels but I also have 5 original Pontiac wheels to go with it. Car has seat belts & Pioneer AM FM Cassette player with power antenna. No AC. Car has Ram Air hood with working tach & a rear spoiler. Has power steering & power disc brakes. Car runs & drives perfectly. Overall this is a beautiful car that you can jump in & enjoy today.
Some people see the bench front seat & column shift automatic tranny as a negative, but I disagree. This is the perfect couples car. It's nice to be able to sit by your spouse, girlfriend, or boyfriend when your heading to a car show, Sunday drive, or drive-in movie (yes we still have some of those here in Alabama). The band Cake wrote a song called "Stickshifts & Safetybelts". If you've never heard it, look it up on youtube or google. I think they say it perfectly. Please feel free to message me with any questions you might have. Feel free to come see car in person if you like before bidding. Car is located in Attalla, Alabama. I have set a reserve price of 31,500. Thanks for looking & happy bidding!
