1953 Pontiac Sedan Delivery
1953 Pontiac Other Description
I don't have the energy to redo this gem another time. The body was professionally sub-framed and a Oldsmobile Rocket 350 engine and tranny installed in 1995. I also had a heater/AC unint installed, but the AC was never finished.
In 2005, I had the body work done and the engine remanufactured. New power brakes, tires, and the radiator was reworked, and the trim chromed and powder coated. The paint is starting to peel and there is some rust, but overall it is sound.
I drive it very rarely now, but would not hesitate to drive cross country. Everything works. I have the fender skirts and other spare parts.
The floor pans need work, the RR fender is losing filler, but is not rusted. I imagine the transmission has around 35,000 miles and the engine 25,000.
Everyone who passes you gives a thumbs up and it is a conversation starter at filling stations and rest areas. In show condition this is a very expensive car. Now is the time for a new project.
