1967 Pontiac GTO Description

!!!NO RESERVE!!!

Up for auction here is a 1967 Pontiac GTO. The vin tag verifies that this is the real deal. It's a non numbers matching car but still has a 400 Small Block with a 4 speed manual. This is a running driving project. With a little tlc you could leave the car as is and drive it, or spend some money on it and make it a real nice car. We took this in on trade and really have no use for it. Figured this would be a perfect candidate for a no reserve auction, so the high bidder will end up with the car. Ifcoming froma long distance I would recommend trailering since I'm unsure of the reliability of it. It seems to run good, and have taken it onsome short trips. The brakes feel like they could use some attention but it at least stops. The car overall seems to be pretty solid. The floor pans and frame all look good. At some point it has had an amateur restoration but still looks decent. It's perfect for a driver but if you are looking for a show car it will need some work. The pictures pretty much speak for themselves. The car is nothing fancy but it's still a true GTO. If you have any questions feel free to call Jon at 515-249-6167, thanks.

I have been getting quite a few questions pertaining specific details about the car so I figured I would just share what we came up with. This information was all pulled from the VIN number and build sheet. There were only 7,029 Sport Coupe GTO's made in 1967. Only 13,827 GTO's total came with the 400 H.O. engine like this one. It was originally painted color code H which was Linden Green. The trim code is 223 which is black interior. The engine code is 802 which makes it the 400 H.O.. Transmission code is W which is the 4 speed manual. The rear axle code is K which is a 3:55 gear ratio. With these options it makes this GTO pretty rare, considering they built 81,722 GTO's in 1967 and this combination was very limited. All of the information that we have acquired will go with the car for your records.
