1986 Pontiac Fiero GT V6. 4 Speed Manual. 139,403 miles. New Hampshire, No Title
1986 Pontiac Fiero GT Description
1986 Pontiac Fiero GT 139,403mi. New Hampshire, No Title. Buyer will receive the most recent registration along with a bill of sale at time of pickup. For registration by New Hampshire residents only. I'm not sure if this car can be registered elsewhere. NH does not issue titles for cars older than the year 2000 as far as I'm aware. I've owned this car since 2002 and used it as a daily driver outside of winter. Have not driven it in a few years. Has been parked on pavement and moved around the property regularly. Registration and inspection expired. I would not hesitate to drive this car daily again. I just put on 4 brand new all season tires so you can drive her home. Moving. Have to sell. As-Is. $500 starting price to cover cost of tires.
The good:
-Starts, runs, drives and stops.
-Brand new tires, 0 miles.
-No fluid leaks-engine, cooling, trans, brake and clutch hydraulic systems have all been touched/resealed/upgraded relatively recent mileage.
-All aluminium champion 3 core radiator.
-Stainless steel brake lines + braided stainless flex hoses.
-Drilled rotors. Still have original in storage. Stops very well for an old car with no ABS.
-Fierostore greasable steering rack to replace original with worn nylon bushings, still have original in storage. New inner and outer tie rods.
-Rear sway bar added.
-Rodney Dickman upgraded clutch slave cylinder (stops a factory flaw with a weak seal that tends to suck air and cause low clutch pedal).
-Clutch replaced around 100k miles (2003ish).
-Alternator is fairly new.
-Rodney Dickman belt idler pulley prevents squealing belt (design problem for V6)
-Engine was dismantled in car and given an almost complete overhaul around 2008 due to a broken off spark plug. New reman "performance" heads. New gaskets all around, new timing set, injectors, stainless fuel lines, distributor, msd coil, sprint headers, general clean up etc etc. Too much to list.
-Urethane engine mounts.
-Suspension overhauled with new rubber bushings, balljoints, KYB struts+shocks, springs. Again, within the past 10 years but relatively few miles ago.
-High flow cat, ocelot SS exhaust.
-Pioneer stereo, CD/MP3/USB/AUX/HD radio. I don't remember what type of speakers I replaced the factory equipment with but they're decent 2 or 3 way speakers. Pioneer or kenwood I think.
-Starts, runs, drives and stops.
-ebrake works, holds on a hill. Newer ebrake cables.
-Newish heater core.
-Newish window motors.
-shifts and clutches well.
-New battery cables + tray.
-Tail light delamination repaired (common problem, big money for a good set of GT tail lights).
-All matched door and trunk locks. 2 sets of keys.
-Embroidered floor mats
-Tinted sail panels to replace the cracked originals
-Power windows, locks, mirrors.
-Spare and original parts in storage.
The bad:
-Paint is in a sad state. Peeling in many places and rough in others.
-Check engine light comes and goes. Comes on and turns off at key on as its supposed to. Turns on when driving. Shuts back off when car is shut off and turned back on.
-Headlight motors work but need a rebuild. Motion is not smooth, rubber bumpers in gear are most likely dust. Have a spare set of motors in full assemblies waiting to be worked on. Isolation relay was toast and discontinued so I wired a GM power seat switch to manually raise and lower headlights.
-Rear trunk minor water leak on the drivers side. I don't know if it's the spoiler seal or the big square rubber seal needs more weatherstrip adheisive on it. Have kept the trunk painted and drained to mitigate any damage.
-Ebrake lever does not turn on the BRAKE warning light when engaged.
-Cruise control is all there but has never worked. Never bothered to diagnose.
-Air Conditioning compressor is locked up. Got the car this way, never bothered to diagnose. System is all there.
-A few cracks in the dash.
-Drivers seat cloth and foam have seen better days.
-Needs wiper blades.
Moving, must sell. As- Is. Please message me with any questions. Local pickup only in New Ipswich New Hampshire within 10 days of auction close. Cash only.
