1980 Pontiac Firebird Description

HAVING TO RELIST -BIDDER SAY'S HE HIT "BUY NOW" TRYING TO BID –

All #'s original 80Turbo Trans Am Indy Pace Car – 80K miles (Believed correct by condition) PHS Documentation, Norwood car, seems has been in Arizona, I bought it via Florida 6 years ago. It appears has had the gray re painted. Went over most typical areas of body with magnet, seems very little filler if any, can’t find any impact repairs from under car, no rust in doors, trunk, rails. Minor area at mounting point of rear driver fender to frame at bolt (see last picture). Still has original exhaust. This is a great driver! Non-stop conversation piece!

This car has every option Pontiac put out for the time including 2 stage stereo amp, defrost, turbo lights with dimmer switch, power trunk release, power door locks (not working), power windows, WS6 Handling Package, Posi 3:73 Rear, 4 wheel disc brakes. power antenna (mast broke, have replacement assembly)

Only 2 years of the turbo motor, only 2 years of the red interior lights and radio, only 2 years of the mirrored t-tops.

I have/had completed the following:

-Rebuilt 301, turbo, carb by cliff including redye body, even emissions. Motor professional done, dynobroken in, 265hp, motor is 10 over.

-new radiator, allnew hoses, belts, and Vacuum lines

-dressed engine bay

-basically sandblasted, powder coated or painted everything to oem, new under hood decals, insulation and clips

-New masterCylinder, lines, calipers, pads, rotors, bearings, portion valve, and parking cables-New Trans lines, new filter, serviced trans, and posi diff

-New tires last month, replaced 19/32nd Kelly tires over 20 years old pre 2000 no date code.

-New carpet, complete door cards, seat covers foam springs and new burlap. Blasted painted frames, head liner

-Rebuilt any nonworking gauges, all work including clock and all dash lights

-Had OEM Red radioredone, all works, have power antenna to replace due to missing mast, newspeakers in uncut OEM locations.

-New matching floormats from Lloyds

-New heater fan, AC has not been converted does pull vacuum. Ducts are out of the car but I have them.

-All lights work from corners to proper tail configuration

-New driver’s window motor, power windows work good

-New weatherstripping every where

-Has original spare,can air, jack,

-New Delco battery-New alternator, power steering pump and lines, fuel pump etc.….

-New leather handstitched steering wheel by Sue

The items still for repair are as noted:

-Power door locks don’t work,

-Convert AC

-Very small drip from trans shifter arm

-center crack indash in typical location. Dash is still soft

-OEM Windshield is cracked above passenger corner believed from being on and off lift. Wasn’t like that till back from engine install. Have new “Pontiac” for after install.

-Install all pen stripping -comes with it

-Install new painted fender welting - comes with it

-Re-dye kick plastics,

-replace rear deck panel as it has some peal wear - Dye comes with it

Runs great, starts perfect, never any smoke, shifts great. I take it to shows as far as 2 hours away without issue several times a year. I have put 2-3k miles on the new motor. Thumbs up from cars in the interstate, yells and whistles all throughtowns!

Ask for specific pictures, I have 100's, just scattered in different locations. Tons and Tons of receipts. Car was inspected and insured by State Farm for 23,500.00

Please be sure that you know what this car is and that you intend to go through with the purchase. I will answer all questions and talk all about it, but lets not waste time and money on bids that aren't real.

Ifyou have negative feedback, or less than 10 rating, let’s talk 1st, if not, your bid will be removed to be fair to me and the others that may be interested. There is no warranty obviously on a 40 year old car, so come see it if you can. Will assist if possible in working with a shipping company you hire. Good Luck-
