1965 Pontiac GTO GTO Description

1965 Pontiac GTO . A good friend of mine with Parkinson’s disease has asked me to help him sell his beloved 65 GTO. I would categorize this car as an outstanding high end driver. It has a beautiful paint job and interior but has a few issues that make it not perfect. The interior is amazing but there are a few spots on the paint, if you looked close, you'd see that aren't perfect. If you were a perfectionist, you might want to deal with it but, from a 10 feet away, the paint and finish look terrific. At some point in the car's history, if you look under the trunk mat, you'll deduce that the trunk had gotten wet or damp as the trunk floor has some scaling/roughness to it as if it may have had some rust developing but was treated. It looks fine and structurally sound. Only if you remove the trunk mat would you see it (if you really looked) but in the interest of full disclosure, I wanted to mention it.
The car is a numbers matching factory A/C, PS, PB, tri-power car with the rear differential having been changed with a correct part. I’ve had the car for about a 2 weeks to clean, wax, and get to know and from what I can tell, it drives beautifully. I noticed a little air noise on the highway around the driver's side window but beyond that, it was great. The A/C blows cold and the brakes, transmission, and suspension perform beautifully. I believe my friend (78 yrs old) is the 2nd owner (bought in 2000) and it has been parked in his garage for the better part of the last 10 years due to his illness. He put new tires on it sometime within the last 18 months but they've hardly been driven. Also, he gave me stacks of paperwork and receipts including pictures of the car from 1965, a window sticker, brochures, registration history, repair history, and ton's of new and old parts.
If you were looking for a clean babied unmolested 1965 GTO, you'd be hard pressed to find a finer example of one than this one.
