1958 Pontiac Bonneville Description

Purchased the car from an estate sale. The car has been barn kept since the 90’s then put outside under a car pool. I bought it with the intention of giving it a full restoration but now I have other new projects.

This car has most of its original two tone paint and bodywork, rusty in strange places, under the rear quarter moldings, very rusty passenger door and trunk reinforcement (underside) but floors and lower part of the car are very solid, trunk floors and in general the undercarriage are super solid, with just two small holes in the floor pan near the driver’s feet area. There is a dent in the passenger side front fender, otherwise the car is free from any dents. I have shown the worst parts in the photos.

The car has all of its trim except trunk and hood Bonneville letters, lower trunk molding and trunk chrome handle-trim. Some pieces do show signs of wear and age with nicks, pits, but no major dents in the stainless trim, even where the front passenger fender dent is. Glass is all good.

These Bonneville-only trim pieces are very rare, and hard to find now; even at swap meets. This car came with a single exhaust, Power windows, and wonder bar radio, plus a rear speaker switch. Power steering, power brakes, missing the factory spinner accessory hub caps. Rear bumper is perfect, front need to be rechromed as some of other chrome trims. Original fender skirts included.

Missing rear red lenses and back up lens but you will put new anyway when the car will be restored.

Currently the car has 75,554 miles. The interior is all original, it does show some wear, but would be very presentable as is with just a good cleanup. The padded dash is aged and will need attention. Top liner is perfect with original stars on it. The original gold lurex thread fleck carpet is all there, but does show its age; as it is worn out in some spots. Missing the rear view mirror

Under the hood is the original non running 370 c.i. v8, The intake and carb were taken off one day. You could find the intake of your choice, simple carb, tri-power or fuel injection when you’ll restore it.

Originally a US car, clear title and registration in Quebec, Canada since the 1960’s. Current clear title in my name.

Now the fine print, please read BEFORE bidding!

The car is sold as is and where is, in Quebec, Canada, and transportation and shipping is the winning bidder’s responsibility. I could arrange transportation to Champlain, New York or to the port of Montreal, at buyer’s expense. But, please, contact me before bidding to discuss these possibilities and arrangements. Broker, exportation paper fees and all shipping charges are solely the buyer's responsibility.

Please reach out with any questions. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the sale early. I am posting this as for a friend and you should contact him directly with any questions on the car: 514-923-2310 or via email: fmonceaux@videotron.ca

Upon winning the auction, a deposit of 500$ is requested within 24 hours via PayPal. Arrangements for payment of the balance should be made with the seller within three days, and payment in full is normally expected within a week.

Title will be transferred and car will leave the seller’s property only once payment in full is received and arrangements are made for taking delivery of the vehicle.
