The black and gold theme has been synonymous with Trans Ams since the late 70s and this bird carried that torch well. With just 55,001 miles on the odometer, this car is almost like new! The third generation Firebirds and Camaros ran from 1982 to 1992 and are really starting to gain in popularity and value. This new body style was much more streamlined and futuristic looking than the prior generation and stuck around a while due to the popularity. The Trans Am is of course the sister car to the Chevrolet Camaro, sharing many of the components. The original 5.0-liter V8 engine still resides in the very clean engine compartment of this Trans Am and drives very well. It is backed by a smooth shifting 3-speed automatic transmission with the shifter in the center console. The interior of these cars were very simple and feel like a cockpit for the passengers. Take off the t-tops and store them in the trunk to experience convertible like driving from a coupe. The bucket seats, center console, A/C, power steering, power brakes and AM/FM/Cassette radio make for a great driving experience.
