Ownership history is very important when one claims to have an original Tripower GTO and we have the full ownership history.
The car was purchased by Barber Worthy from Thomaston, Georgia. Barber is still available to discuss her GTO! Barber told me that she needed a commuter car to go to college and wanted a nice car. When she laid her eyes on the beautiful Nightwatch Blue exterior, she had to have it. She used the car as commuter and all the boys would chase her and try to buy her car. She drove the car all through Grad school and then decided to reach out to the guys inquiring about the car. Her father got wind of this, and said he loved the car and he would buy it if she sold it. Barber gave the car to her dad in 1971. Her father drove the car and enjoyed it all the way until 2008. In 2008 The original family sold the car for the first time. A local gentlemen from Georgia asked if the car was for sale, and the father said he would sell it only if the man would restore it like his other cars. The second owner gained possession of it and did a meticulous Frame Off restoration. He restored the car back to original and just sold it to us in 2020! The car had an incredible easy life in Georgia. Being an absolutely solid car, It had a very simple life. No drag racing, no young drivers tearing it up. It is very unusual to have such a clean ownership history on a factory built muscle car.

The Frame Off Restoration started in 2008 and took many years to complete. The body was taken apart, the original engine was fully rebuilt along with the drivetrain. The chassis was professionally powder coated and then all new suspension, all line brake and fuel lines were installed. The car had every nut and bolt rebuilt on this car. The end result is a gorgeous GTO that was brought back to its original glory.

Documentation is crucial to a Factory Tri-Power GTO and this one is documented with the following:

Pontiac Historical Services (PHS) Documentation, Original Georgia title, Complete owners history, Restoration details, Original Pontiac Photo, Original Owners manual, Pontiac wire diagram, Passenger car specification, Comp Cam Card profile, Original title folder with original owners name and number on it. Amazing enough, she is still available at that same number.
