1972 Pontiac Firebird Formula Description

1972 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400. Rust free Southwestern car.
Body- Newer Lucerne Blue paint on solid rust-free body. New emblems, grilles, tail lights, bezels, weatherstripping, etc. Original Formula Ram Air hood with typical bow that these original hoods have. The windshield and all other glass is in excellent condition.
Interior- Newer black "horse collar" seats, carpet and door panels. New $1200 dash pad has been installed (not a cheap cap). Original console with new shift plate. All gauges are in excellent condition with 8000rpm tachometer and160 speedo. The oil/water gauge doesnt work but another one along with new senders will be included in sale. Tilt column, with new "fat" Formula steering wheel. A Blaupunkt stereo is included but I didnt want to cut the new dash to install it. A new OER radio bezel is also included.
Driveline-Engine is a non-numbers matching 400 from a GTO, along with TH400 transmission. The car runs excellent with no smoking or other issues. It has a couple minor leaks. Ram Air air cleaner has been installed. AC equipment was removed but included (in trunk). New Cold-Case direct fit aluminum radiator has been installed.
Trunk- Solid with correct mat.
Undercarriage- Unrestored original condition with no rust. You can see the original over-spray and red oxide primer in some areas where the original undercoating was scraped off. Bushings, suspension and steering are in good condition.
Overall- This is an excellent cruiser/cruise-night car that has never had a full restoration but has nice paint and interior so it presents itself well.
