$29,029 restoration invoice, factory colors!
1977 Pontiac Trans Am Description
Right out of California! Beautiful factory color combination. Documented by Pontiac Historical Service. We have a $29,029 invoice paid to Restore a Muscle Car in 2019. They restore cars and specialize in Trans Ams.
EXTERIOR: I think this is one of the sharpest looking Trans Am's we've had. The color combination is outstanding. Factory Bucaneer red with gold/black decals. The wheels are among my favorite of all time. This is what I call a 5 footer. It looks amazing from 5 feet, if you inspect it there are some blemishes. The body is exceptionally clean, that is important. The body panels are all straight, I don't see any signs of rust or damage, not even door dings. Everything fits really well. It is polished very smooth and glossy. There are some scratches on the roof touched up. The rubber bumpers are in good shape and fit nice. The hood bird and Trans Am decals are new. The grills and front emblem are new. The shaker hood scoop has been carefully cut out in back for fresh air to flow to the carb. The anodized mouldings are a bit tarnished around the windows. Window seals are new, weather strips have been replaced. It has clean door jambs. New wheels and tires are new. They are 15x8 snowflakes with new BFG tires.
INTERIOR: It was born with a white deluxe. Very comfortable seats. Overall in very good shape. Not abused. Upholstery on the seats and door panels are very good. The lower plastic door panels were redyed. It has a formula wheel on a tilt column. It has a center console with a Hurst 4-speed with t-handle. Upgraded modern stereo with 6x9 speakers.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Upgraded from a 400 to a much more powerful 1972 455. I drove it home, ot felt mold mannered until I nailed it. Wow, it woke right up and took off. The motor was recently rebuilt with new bearings, lifters, timing chain etc. On top it has a polished aluminum intake and a giant Holley dual feed carb with electric choke. Carb was rebuilt. It also has fuel pressure gauge, factory H.O. exhaust manifolds and HEI ignition system. New radiator and fan clutch. Shroud and overflow bottle look proper. New power brake booster. New correct chrome valve covers, chrome alternator and power steering pump.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Solid metal trunk floor. It's been covered with sound deadener material. The bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb are or painted nice, it has all the stickers. Weatherstrip looks to be good original.
UNDERSIDE: The bottom of the motor is still spotless. New fuel pump and starter. Previous owner claims the Muncie 4-speed was rebuilt and clutch was replaced. Driveshaft was balanced. He claimed the posi rear was rebuilt. The front end has several replaced parts- center link, bushings, shocks etc. It has frame rails that connect front subframe to the rear frame rails to prevent flex. In back it has new shocks and factory swaybar. It has a custom stainless exhaust with x-pipe, Magnaflow mufflers, splitter tips and very cool electric dumps. With the flip of a switch it will rattle your neighbor's windows. The floors are really impressive. Rust free, the factory primer is still showing. It has disc brakes in front, e-brake assembly looks complete.
Extra sharp looking, strong running Trans Am!
