1980 Pontiac Trans Am 6.6L 400 - Rare Bronze Color - NO RESERVE
1980 Pontiac Trans Am Description
1980 Pontiac Trans Am. Wearing it's original rare Bronze paint and decals. It came from the factory with a 4.9L, but now has a built 400 engine with 6X heads, a big cam, an Edelbrock intake, a Holley 750 double pumper carburetor and electric cooling fans. The car sounds awesome. I don't know the internals of the engine, since it was in the car when I got it. Suppose to be under 10K miles on the engine, but I really don't know. It has a TON of power and will light up the rear tires on command. It will get away from you if your not careful. The exhaust is Glass Packs bolted to the headers, no other exhaust. The original muffler is still under the car in front of the gas tank. The body is very solid from what I can see, except for a small spot of rust on the driver's fender, passenger rocker and around the battery tray. These spots are small. The floors, trunk, frame and everything else is solid. The interior is okay for a driver, but needs to be restored. No headliner, seat belts and the seats need to be recovered. The temp/oil pressure gauge does not work, it does have an aftermarket oil pressure gauge hooked up under the dash that does work. The windows go up & down easy. Still has it's Original Stereo. The car does have it's original Bronze paint and decals. I don't see any evidence of any paint work or repaired damage. It does have some hail dents and a scrape on the front driver's fender from a garage entrance which knocked off the outside mirror on the driver's door. It has a matching set of tires with good tread. The original jack is still in the trunk. I can see that it has had new front brake hoses, brake calibers and a master cylinder replaced in the last few years. And might have a few other newer parts I don't know about. I got this as a partial trade for a travel trailer I had. I never had insurance on it and really never drove it, maybe 3 miles total. Some of the lights don't work, might just need some bulbs. This Trans Am Runs, Drives, Steers and Stops but I would consider a restoration for it. It deserves it. I have a good Oklahoma Title in my name. It probably would drive home okay for the new owner, But I don't really know since I don't know it that well, so I can't guarantee that it will, so bring a trailer or have it transported.
