1965 PONTIAC GTO COUPE - CUSTOM

COMMAND CAR FOR MILITARY MUSCLE WITH "THE PUNISHER" LOGO

COMPLETE CUSTOM FRAME-OFF RESTORATION

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This vehicle is not the norm for our shop, but it has instilled in us the true desire to honor all the military and first responders that serve our country with their lives on a daily basis.

These men and women serve us proudly without hesitation. They work every day to ensure our FREEDOM because freedom is not FREE!

The stock full frame has been cleaned and painted with POR-15 resulting in a clean gloss finish.

The rear end is a rebuilt 12 bolt Chevy unit with 3.73 gearing.

The rear suspension consists of CPP (Classic Performance Parts) tubular 4-link control arms that locate the rear axle in the frame with black polyurethane bushings and new coil springs.

The front suspension consists of CPP (Classic Performance Parts) tubular upper and lower control arms with a 2 dropped spring pocket and a 2 lower coil spring that connects to new spindles with a CPP (Classic Performance Parts) front sway bar.

The complete steering system from the steering box to the tie rod ends is new.

The brake system has been upgraded with chrome dual reservoir master cylinder and chrome vacuum booster. A fully adjustable proportion valve allows adjustment for the four wheel disc brakes. New steel brake lines and rubber brake hoses complete the upgraded system.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The fuel system has been rebuilt and upgraded with the following items:

-New fuel tank and fuel sending unit were installed.

-New fuel lines were installed that would be compatible with the fuel injection.

-External high pressure fuel injected fuel pump with pre and post fuel filters was installed.

-The fuel injection system is a S.D.S by Chico Kodama at the Moon Eyes Company.

-The 6 throttle bodies started out as a solid billet piece of aluminum and were milled to look like 97 Strombergs. Each one has two fuel injectors in them. The throttle bodies are mounted to a special SIX pack manifold. The fuel constant 45 PSI fuel pressure is controlled by a billet fuel regulator with a gauge.

-The fuel injection main computer box is mounted in the passenger compartment along with the programmer control box. The control box is mounted center stage in the custom dash where it can provide constant engine information for "ON THE FLY" calibration adjustments to be made.

-Fine adjustment mixture knob is also mounted in the dash in arm's reach of the driver.

-Cold start idle control solenoid switch has also been added to the fuel injection system to aid in cold start-up idle. This switch is a real Aircraft locking two-stage switch.

-Custom throttle linkage and transmission kick-down control systems were installed.

-Be Cool aluminum radiator with twin electric fans keeps the engine cool.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The engine is a GM Performance 350 crate engine with a moderate camshaft. The relocated engine mounting pads move the engine rearward for a better weight balance.

The engine is mated to a TH350 automatic transmission with a 2500 stall converter. A freshly rebuilt drive shaft sends the power to the rear axle.

The Lokar shifter has been modified to accept a modified authentic attack helicopter aircraft joy stick for the handle. The SILVER button shifts the transmission, and the RED button fires the horn!

The tires are low profile Hankook with 225/45ZR17 on the front and 245/45ZR18 on the rear. The rims are Billet Specialties Five Spoke aluminum rims that have been custom painted with a two-tone design to match the body colors.

The body has been completely rebuilt with new interior and exterior rear quarter panels, rocker panels and a complete new floor. All remaining panels were worked and epoxy primed before moving into the painting process.

The completed underside of the body and inner front fenders were sprayed with undercoat.

The interior floor is sprayed with Raptor bed liner for a rugged look that will clean up easily.

A new black headliner and sail panels were installed.

The door panels and rear seat interior panels are custom aluminum panels embossed with the skull logo of the American sniper "The Punisher" that were custom built for this project by Big Wig Race Cars.

The dash has been updated with custom AutoMeter gauges.

The dash and center console chrome trim has been painted in a hammer-tone of silver and black.

The hammer-tone has been carried outside to the body panels and is applied to all trim parts, and it has also been used on the new front and rear bumpers.

Front fenders GTO emblems have been customized with the hammer-tone silver, black and white scheme.

The front and rear GTO emblems and Pontiac logo are painted in fluorescent white.

The original front bucket seat frames were stripped and rebuilt. The foam was custom contoured and covered in a custom designed ultra leather consisting of an old school black and a digital green with silver camouflage center insert that carries to the back of the seats and to the rear bench style seat.

To top it all off, all seats have "Special Operations" black and white American flag shoulder patches located in the shoulder blade area.

Driver and passenger side visors have been custom made to locate the target in front of you. Dark colored Lexan is cut in the shape of a Fighter Pilot sun visor.

In the center of each visor is an aluminum ringed cross-hair targeting system.

The original steering column has been rebuilt and painted the body color.

A pro touring design steering wheel tops the column.

The vehicle was rewired with an American Auto wire system and is ready for any upgrade such as A/C or power windows.

All the glass is new including the window felts, rubber guides and seals.
