1981 Pontiac Firebird TRANS AM Description

Parting with my 1981 trans am, the car is pristine and is in all respects a head turner. It holds a clear title and seems to have 75k original miles, however that is probably as original as this car gets because it is anything but. In place of the 301ci turbo it had prior sits a built 468ci big block chevy with comp 270 cam, Edelbrock aluminum heads, chrome air gap intake, chroem valve covers, edelbrock 750cfm carb, MSD distributor, MSD box and ignition cylinder and a Weiand belt drive for all the chromeaccessoriesand it all flows through a set of headman headers. The motor is mated to a built TH350 with a 2k stall converter and a B/M megashifter. Rear end is a ford 9" and suspension was recently updated with new sway bars and rear shocks.Chrome radiator and electric fan as well as Chrome master cylinder and new Wilwood disc brakes all around. Aesthetically speaking under the hood is pristine and the car makes an excellent cruiser. Has the original Ttops which to the best of my knowledge do not leak, all trim is present and interior was recently reupholstered, its mostly original for the exception of the two front seats are racing seats meant to to mimic the originals but are far superior. The radio is replaced with a delete plate and a charge port as well as a hidden 800w pyle mini amp AUX and new speakers. Interior is overall very sharp and headliner and carpet look new as well as new trunk lining. Exterior-The paint except for a few spots and trans am decals are very clean looking and well done and the paint is about 2 years old. The biggest cosmetic change besides the motor andaggressivelooking brakes is the front end which came from a '77 trans am and the conversion was flawless. The car sits on wider tires than original and 15' Cragar rims ( I have brand new Yearone 15x8 gold ws6 wheels if interested). Cons about the car are the chip in the paint on the rear lip which is pictured, the speedo and tachometer dont work (gas gauge clock and volts and water/oil all work), power windows can be finicky, and it could use a carburetor tune as cold startup can be a pain. This car is absolutely gorgeous though and makes an excellent cruiser. Selling As-Is If you have any questions call/text 7605676539 id be happy to answer them. Don't miss out this car is MINT.
