1979 Pontiac Trans Am Firebird Description

Car was taken apart and had a ground up restoration / customization / beefed up 18 years ago at which point the car had 73,000 miles on it. The ws6 suspension received lifetime prothang graphite impregnated polyurethane bushings. The frame and under carriage was under coated. The motor was fully ported and polished. The d port heads were race prepped by Nunzi automotive and the d port exhaust manifolds and performer rpm manifold was ported and polished to match the heads. A special order 1975 race quadrajet was installed and the distributor and jetting was matched by HO performance. The shaker was fitted with dual ram air from the nose of the vehicle and the shaker was fitted with a power actuated door. The thrush side pipes are functional and were custom fitted to the car and are full mufflers the entire length. Monroe shocks were installed all around and the rear set are air adjustable. An 1800 watt Clarion stereo was installed with a 800 and 400 watt amps connected to a pair of 12 inch chrome subs behind the rear seat and a pair of hi powered 6 x 9 speakers on rear package shelf and hi power speakers in the dash all connected to a single disc removable Clarion stereo with a goose neck equalizer and a 6 pack cd changer on the rear package shelf. Dash gauges were changed out for a custom cyber dyne red digital dash at which point the new cluster milage was at zero and now has 4334 miles on it since the car was rebuilt 18 years ago. The car was fitted with sub frame connectors and a 375 horse cheater nitrous system with remote bottle opener, blanket and t shifter activation switch, please note nitrous has never been filled or activated, car has plenty of power without. Car also has a chrome competition engineering roll bar with chrome fire extinguisher. The clutch is a center force dual friction unit. The tires are brand new with 5 miles on them. Car has all factory options working including shag carpet, mirrored t tops, smoked tail lights, Ac, 4 wheel disc brakes, power windows and door locks etc. The car spent 14 years of its life under a cover in a garage only traveling 28 miles every 28 days and to local car shows. 4 years ago I went through a divorce and the car had to spend the last four years out in the sunlight. I do not have a place to keep the car and my tools and equipment to properly maintain it so I am selling it. The car runs and drives well and all options are working. The brakes are pulling to the left (drivers side) which will probably need bleeding, I had put a new proportioning valve on the car right before the divorce and it probably has air in the system, the car is going to need paint work due to being out in the sun and has a few spider cracks on the front and rear bumpers. The car had no rust when it was painted 18 years ago, but has two areas on the hood near the nose and a spot on the passenger front fender by the door. The leather interior has multiple cracks in the seats. Hopefully I have described the cars good and bad points, Please ask all questions and make arrangements to see the car personally and test drive before the end of the auction. My auction is for 7 days and the car is being sold as is and I have the car for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction early if the car sells locally. If the car sells during this auction I am asking for a $500 deposit to be paid in cash or by cashiers check within 48 hours of auctions end and the rest of the money owed to be paid in cash in Person. The buyer is responsible for all arrangements for pick up or delivery of the vehicle.
