Incredibly rare matching numbers 1966 GTO "Tri-Power" convertible that is loaded with factory options including air-conditioning.
All of this is documented by Pontiac Historic Services including correspondence indicating that the vehicle was originally ordered with a special paint color. The car is very well equipped from the factory including 389 "Tri-Power" engine, automatic transmission, saf-t-track differential, special paint, air-conditioning, Rally gauge cluster with tachometer, Rally wheels, custom sport steering wheel, tilt steering column, power steering, power brakes, heavy duty aluminum brake drums, transistorized ignition, console, am-FM radio, power antenna, visor vanity mirror, inside non-glare mirror, remote control outside mirror, glove box lamp, ash tray lamp, underwood lamp, seat belts, exhaust extensions, soft ray glass, ride & handling springs and shocks, and front & rear floor mats.
The paint, interior, undercarriage, engine compartment and trunk are virtually flawless.
There is plenty of documentation that goes with this car to include build sheet, as well professional inspection by a highly respected author of " everything you need to know Car Collecting" by Steve Linden. Mr. Linden personally inspected and advised on this car.
When I purchased this car from the widowed owner, the car had not been driven after winning Gold for several years. I did so with the intention to drive, but this car should be on display and driven rarely, unless you have a lot more money than I do. If so... drive it and enjoy. When I had it trucked to my home, I had to have everything adjusted and tightened, it was a trailer queen... the only thing I added was a fuel pump... that is hidden very well, however can be easily removed,
There are not many left like this, and the older we get, the older and rarer they get, I have been selling used pickup trucks for years, you can visit needatt.com to see more pictures as well
