Up for bids is a very nice privately owned 1979 Y84 coded Pontiac Trans Am, VIN# 2W87K9N141479. (includes original build sheet). It sports the 6.6 Litre motor (stamping # 291141479), with automatic transmission and factory limited slip rear axle. The drive train is # matching original to the car but has been rebuilt. The engine only has break in time and zero driven miles. It hasbeen bored .030 over with new pistons, rings, bearings, cam, lifters, and gaskets. (Built to stockwith no high performance enhancements). TheRochester Quadrajet Carb has been rebuilt, the heads were redone with new valves, springs, guides,valve seals, and pushrods. The transmission was refreshed and the rear end was fitted with 373 gears. The entire exhaust is new with correct y-pipe and tailpipes with welded correct chrome tips. The body has all its original panels and one repaint with the correct SE decals. There are no areas of rust, rot, orpacked bondo on the car. No patch panels anywhere.The floors and trunk are 100% solid along with all frame areas.This car has never been exposed to the winter elements. It has been stored for the past eleven years in a climate controlled building. The interior is in near pristine shape.One of the front seats had a tear in it and due to theupholsterysold in pairs, both front seats have been recovered.Headliner, dash, and all panels are in excellent shape with no dry rot. The rear package tray has been replace due to some sun distortion over the years. The car has all new weather strip. The gold plating on the dash and steering wheel is a little faded due to age, but original. All the lights on the car work throughout.This is nota high option car and does not have T-tops. Most Y84 models did, but only a low number were produced without. Makes it a little more rare. The car has the 15x7 snowflake wheels with brand new BF Goodrich 225/70/15 raised white letter T/A radials. All the brakes are in great shape and the brake master cylinder and booster have been replaced. Also replaced recently was the water pump, upper and lower radiator hoses, and fluids.

This is a beautiful car that needs nothing. Turn Key and cruise. Not to mention that all eyes are on you when driving it.I've represented this car to the best of my ability.
