1967 Pontiac GTO Description

How I Got It
Ifound this car in Star City, Arkansas in theearly nineties andlast on the road in 1988.The GTOwascomplete and original except the previous owner had pulled replacedthe motor. The original complete short block, cylinder heads and HO exhaust manifolds were in a shed behind the owners house. I wasgiven the title and a bill of sale whichI amnow unable to locate.

What Has Been Done To It
-The short block wasrebuilt .030 over andhas been in storage shed for well over 15 years. Rats built a nest in two of the cylinders which may cause it to have to be bored .040 over to get past the rust the vermin left. The cam bearings will need to be replaced
-The RHtail panel has beencut out due to damage.
-Car is pretty much dis-mantled

What It Is
-Factory correct HO (high output) YZ (automatic transmission) block with the correct casting number of 9786133 withthe original correctly date coded 670 cylinder heads and the original HO exhaust manifolds.
-Factory air, tinted windows, power steering, power brakes
-Trim plate coded as a Mariner Turquoise Metallic with a white vinyl top and a Dark Turquoise interior. I think the top was likely painted white by the factory instead of vinyl as there is no indication a vinyl top was removed. This could be confirmed by PHS
-M date codes which is somewhat unusual (see below)
-All parts are accounted for except transmission, intake manifold, front and rear glass, front headlight bezels, dual gate trim, upper section of rear seat, seatbelts are roasted, air compressorand brackets, PS pump
There may be other parts missing as the car got moved several times over the approximately 25 years in my or my brother-in-laws possession. Very limited rust, worst areas are the front RH dash edge around windshield and the LH rear window area, quarters, trunkand floors arefairly solid with a few thin spots and small holes.Overall this is likely a rust free and complete unrestored southern GTOyou will find in today's times.

Other Facts
-The Rally II wheels are not the original as the car had a set of aftermarket wheels when purchased.
-There is a spare RH front fender, that in my opinion is better than the original, but you get both unless you don't want it.
-The steering column iscurrently pulled andIwill reinstall this and whatever else I need in order to steer it.
-The tires are just for rollers and will hold air long enough to move it around.
-Atransport must be willing to take a car that that is fully loaded with all of the parts inside of it in boxes. The bumpers, seats, spare fender and wheel wellis separate and will not fit into the car. I do not have time to partially re-assemble the car for shipping, but could ship parts separately if you had issues with getting the car transported. All of the hardware, bolts, fasteners, etc. were bagged, but not all labeled because Iknow (or knew!) enough about A body cars to not really have to do this back in the day. These cars are not hard to figure out and there is plenty of online info and diagrams to sort out assembly issues.
-no title, bill of sale only

Why IAm Selling It (Everyone always wants to know this)
-I have been a Pontiac hobbyist for many years and decided what I could reasonably expect to complete before I am too old, tired or broke. This one lost in a hotly contested race with a 1961 tri-power Bonny convertible. I like the older big cars, too.

Please read ALL of the information I have taken the time to write, make notes of your questions BEFORE you call me at 501-951-0287 and I will be happy to answer them the best I can.

Again, Bill of Sale only.

This is a real southern car that is very solid, minimal rust issues and matching numbers except intake manifold and Turbo trans and they can be found..

Thanks for looking, everything written above is accurate.
