Here is a wonderful old car, a true survivor………..
-- 1952 Pontiac Chieftain…all original (except tires, brakes, battery and carpet)
-- Strong, smooth 268 CID straight eight, excellent shifting 4 speed Hydramatic
-- New Firestone bias ply tires (Coker)
-- The stainless trim is all there and excellent condition….very few dings or scratches
-- EVERYTHING WORKS!!!
“Everything” includes: Radio, Clock, Windshield Wipers, Gauges, Turn signals, Park Brake, Brights, Heater (really nice under seat heater), all lighting, cigarette lighter.
-- Illuminated hood ornament
-- Newly rebuilt master cylinder
-- Original Interior
-- New exhaust system
-- Tracks straight, runs quiet.
This is a very solid car. I would not hesitate to drive this car to California (and back!). Cruises easily at 70 MPH.
OK…But is it perfect?……. No!
-- There are a few silver dollar size holes in the front floor pan (driver side) that have been Bondo’d.
-- Little bit of play in the steering.
-- Driver side interior door panel is missing (but I have the stainless trim for it). Passenger side is stained. Note the no rust on the door
-- Couple holes in the front upholstery.
-- Needs chrome work and paint!
I have owned this car for approx. 20 years. I have made several electrical repairs, replaced exhaust system, installed new battery, purchased tires, and rebuilt master cylinder. Oil has been changed regularly…I am a stickler about clean oil.
Now it is time for someone else to enjoy driving this car and taking in all the hoots and hollers that you will get. You will be amazed at how it attracts attention.
Non – refundable $500 deposit due at end of auction. Remainder due when the car is picked up or two weeks, whichever occurs first.
