The car has a mildly interesting story.
The owner passed away late in 2015. The executor of the estate called me in January about buying the deceased guy's home in Grosse Pointe. When my partner was looking at the house, theexecutor did one of those "Oh, by the way" things and pointed my partner to the garage.
The story is, the deceased seller bought the car new in 1978, and shortly after that took a job in a bad part of Detroit. He didn't want to drive this car there, so he stuck it in the garage. Thus the low mileage.
And there it sat, for 36 or 37 years. It was covered the entire time and the garage was heated. Apparently the seller even started it regularly, because it started right up for us with no blue smoke.
The brake lines and exhaust are the only things that we know of that aren't original. The tires are original and still have a lot of tread on them.
The t-tops are factory.
