Looking for a Trans Am that you can enjoy this summer without breaking your bank account? Then this 1979 Pontiac Trans Am WS-4 will be perfect for you.It has re-sprayed at some point in its life, but it wears the original colorand has a good shine to it - It isn't the best quality paint job and has it flaws, but looks awesome at 10' and good at 5'. There is some overspray present and a few chips. Body is nearly rust free, only rust is a couple surface spots where the paint chipped and was not repaired.
This has the original T-Tops and is sporting the original 6.6 liter 403 V8 with an automatic. This car spent most of its life in Georgia and has a chassis to prove it! The underside is in excellent condition with only very light surface rust on the pans and frame rails. Yes surface rust only, as I know the differenceandhave looked at a lot of these cars and this is one of the best unrestored undersides that I have seen in the Midwest. Trunk does have a slight leak and was exposed to the elements over the past few years so water has gotten into the trunk, but still in very good shape.
The interior is in very good shape. There are no cracks in the dash, the carpet in is great, as well as the seats. The front seats are not stock but are very comfortable. It could use a headliner and rear package tray but neither of those keep you from enjoying it this summer.
Engine starts and idles fine on the first turn of the key. New battery and starter in past couple months. No smoke or burning of oil, etc. Runs like it should. Transmission shifts fine. Brakes and other mechanical areas all operate as intended. It is originally an A/C car, but those parts are missing.
Overall, this is an excellent driver quality car as it sits, would be much more with a little TLC.
