1970 Pontiac GTO Description

Up for saleisa very rare and unique 1970 GTO 455 H.O. finished in its original Bermuda blue paint with blue interior. It is a complete numbers matching car with its original drivetrain, 455 H.O. engine, TH400 auto trans, 12-bolt rearend with 3.08 gears andposi. This car is one of only 1986 cars built with the 360HP 455HO and one of only 1861 cars built in Bermuda Blue.
But what makes this car so unique is how it was ordered; the original customer ordered the car with the 455 HO engine but none of the other typical options that one would put in a GTO; the car is aCOLUMN shift automatic with NO center console and BUCKET seats (which means you can count them on one hand the number of cars that came this way from the factory). This GTOhas power steering and brakes but no A/C and no interior power options, no optional wheels, just steel wheels with flat hubcaps, no gauge package, just standard speedo, clock and gas gauge with idiot lights. Whoever originally ordered this carwanted a sleeper!
This car has been completely gone through, the drivetrain has been freshened up with new gaskets, seal and paint but not rebuilt, the trans and rearend have been serviced, all the bushings, brakes, ball joints, "wearables", etc. have been replaced; This is one ofTHE BESTDRIVING classic cars I have ever owned and driven (IF YOU DRIVE THIS CAR YOU WILL BUY IT), it has excellent powerand road manners, rides beautifully and is very reliable.Driving this car brings you back to a timewhen people LOVED buying cars and the companies took pride in what they were building.
The car has also been completely restored cosmetically, the bodywork and paint are beautiful; the original Endura nose was stripped and smoothed using the proper materials to ensure against any future cracking or warping while retaining its original intended flexibility. The interior is 100% brand new as well with new carpet, headliner, front and rear door panels, seat foam and upholstery front and rear, all chrome pieces, handles, knobs, etc. and the original dash was sent out and restored by Just Dashes and looks better than new.
The only deviations from stock original are a set of correct Honeycomb wheels that were added by the previous owner, a correct hood tach, and a $1,500+ modern stereo that looks originalbut has Bluetooth and all the modern guts (including hidden 4Alpine speakers and amp). I made sure that you cannot tell that the stereo is not original to the car while still being able to connect your iPhone to it.
Ihave the PHS documentation to go with the car as well as the original owners manual. You will not find another car that has been optioned the way this one has. Thiscar is absolutely a dream to drive and wherever I go people want to take pictures ofit.In the State of GA Pre-1981 cars do not require a title to sell; so, I am selling this car with a bill of sale only.Overall this car is stunning, between the looks, the driving experience and the rarity, you cannot go wrong with this purchase.
