1941 Pontiac De Luxe “Torpedo” Two-door Sedan. Great old car that has been owned by the same guy for 46 years. Starts right up, reat transmission, ecent brakes, nd a great interior. I have to imagine the car has more mileage then indicated, aybe it turned over once? The car was painted many years ago after having various metal patches and body filler. More of an amateur job but still presents well as an old worn vintage car. See pictures to see it is not a show car but a great driver. I waxed the hood and top of front fenders and it shines up nice, did not wax anywhere else in case new owner wants to repaint car. Runs excellent, hisper quiet, t has a puff of oil smoke when it sits idling for a while when warmed up. Shocks and brakes look recent. Only mechanical issues I know of are the drag link is a little loose and the passenger front wheel bearing has a lot of play. I would not drive far because of those two issues- in my opinion. The tires look to be in good condition. Brand new6 volt battery. There has been some metal workunder the car, hefloors look at original, he inner sills have some rusted out spots-I will include some pictures.
Almost everything works in the car, ights, ash lights, peedometer, dometer, ipers, ll the windows and vent windows function, nd spare tail light works. The amber fogs are not working but I also don’t know where the switch is. It does have a working horn, he aftermarket trumpet horn kit has been removed and does not come with the car, t was a hazard and would touch the battery. The license plates do not go with the car either. It does not have blinkers or brake lights and the clock is not hooked up. It does not have a radio but does have the Weather Chief hot water heater and defroster option. I have the original owner’s manual, ecorative keys, ealer “Torpedo” fleet brochure, nd a bunch of old registrations and receipts. The Original seats under the covers look amazing from what I can see, have not removed them so I do not know if they perfect underneath. The old owner said they were perfect 46 years ago which is why he left the original covers on. The headliner and visors are in great original condition. The carpet wash replaced at some point and is decent. The faux wood dash has been airbrushed at one point and looks pretty cool. There is a whole bunch of spare parts in the trunk.
The car was currently registered in CT. when I got it and is sold with a bill of sale(Q-1 form for supplemental assignment of ownership) and copy of registration. CT. does not issue titles for any vehicle over 25 years. I highly recommend coming to see the car in person at my shop in Orange, T. before bidding. The winning Bidder is the new owner and will be help to all Ebay rules and regulations. Shipping is the Buyers responsibility.
