1975 Porsche 914 Description

*Please read the entire description and ensure you are able to meet the terms of the auction prior to bidding. If there are any questions or accomodations needed, please ask prior to bidding.
Selling a 1975 Porsche 914 1.8 - all original, one owner, Anacona Blue Metallic. As an option in 1975 there were not many 914s in Anacona Blue. Of the 11,000 or so 914s produced that year relatively few were Anacona and of those, most were 914-6s. That being the case, this is very rare vehicle.
I purchased the car in May/June after finishing my masters degree as a summer project from the guy who bought it from its original owner. He bought for his son as a project for them to restore together. As far as they got before the son decided he was done, was taking the car apart. That is the way it was when I bought it. My plan was to restore the car, put it back together, get it running and hopefully drive it.
The car is complete, with some minor needs. It doesnt start, although with a battery connected it does crank. I had a mechanic come look at it shortly after purchasing it. He concluded that it wasnt getting spark from the distributor (points removed and not replaced). I didn't have the ignition key at the time and he had to use an electric starter connected to starter coil (I believe). One of the injectors was leaking through a crack in the hose so we stopped there and I bought a new ignition (with key) and installed it. That is where that effort left off.
I continued to restore and reassemble and am out of time. Summer is over and I dont have the time or money to finish the job. I need to find a job that pays. I do have some of the original owners registrations for three or four years but unfortunately lost the paperwork from purchase. The car will come with a CA Bill of Sale that works just as well for a new owner to recieve a pink. The car was non-op from the guy I purchased it from so there are no DMV fees. I believe all this can be verified through the DMV with the license plate and VIN.
Car is in very nice condition. The drivers seat need a cover or to be re-upholstered. It has minimal rust, most being addressed already. It does need a new throttle cable, a new injector, a parking brake cable (small one from brake handle to connectors next to driver seat), new points or distributor (or electric conversion to eliminate points and need for adjusting), hot air vent cable that runs through tunnel to vents (new one comes with car, just needs to be installed), new battery tray or a plate to fit in frame of original tray (It is the and in good condition except the middle part of the tray was cut out), a couple new headlight covers. I believe that covers the major needs. The vehicle has a new engine deck lid seal, new outer window scraperseals on both driver and passenger windows, new rubber seal between dash and windshield, new accelerator pedal, new fuel pump, new vinyl on sails and roll bar, new oil and filter and new air filter. Car comes with some spare parts that will come in very and save buyer some cash down the road - hot air hoses, rubber hoses (vacuum, fuel, etc.), misc. rubber moldings and trim pieces, cables, light bulbs, front side blinker covers, and more. Anything I am forgetting I will try to add later.
Please see photos for additional detail. Im happy to answer any questions.
