911 SC with fully rebuilt original motor and Glasurit respray in original color
1980 Porsche 911 Description
Offered here is my very nice and very well sorted 1980 Petrol Blue Coupe. Completely rebuilt motor after discovering 2 broken head studs at last valve adjust. See attached photos of motor parts: Machined heads New bearings, ramps, chains, oil pump, rods, Euro spec pistons and cylinders, reground camshafts, and rebuilt tensioners with safety collars. Case professionally cleaned and crank spec'd and polished. All rod bearings plasti-gauged at .0015. Cam timing set at factory recommendation of 1.55. Car pulls hard at 3500 rpm and runs wonderfull. Motor is very tight and is properly broken in. Fires right up and runs at 1800 rpm cold and warms up dropping down to smooth idle of 1000 rpm in around 3 minutes. New clutch and flywheel. New tie rods, CV joints freshly packed with grease .Everything deep cleaned. No greasy gunky mess anywhere. New tires, new head liner in original ivory colo, all glass seals new. new windshield. H4 headlights, new fuel pump. Cis completely gone through with all new injectors, new intake boots, new plugs, plug wires, rotor and cap, green signal wire, linkage bushings etc etc. New AAR, new WUR, no unmetered air. 915 Transmission shifts up and down smoothly and has fresh gear oil.All shift bushings replaced. Shifts into 1st rolling. No grinding anytime whatsoever. Excellent original interior, no dash cracks. No seat tears.I had the car resprayed because of too much oxidation and blemishes for my tastes. I have extensive photos of the entire paint restoration. There were no dents, no rust and no bondo prior to start, just too much 36 year old "patina" The car looked good from 20 feet before and now looks perfect from 1 foot. My painter has 30 years experience painting Porsches. This is a very very nice car, very clean throughout. Sunroof works, AC blows cold, aftermarket stereo works. Have all receipts, and documentation pertinent to the current condition of the car.The trip meter in speedo photo reflects miles logged on new motor. No accidents, zero rust. The only things I can think of that don't work are the windshield squirters and the oil level gauge is pegged which is a common issue. I replaced the float in the oil tank but there must be a short in the wiring and I cant find it. I just use the dipstick. Will provide more photos if needed. Serious buyers only, Please no tire kickers. This is no project car and will require maintenance only. I have absolutely no problem with Pre purchase inspections and I'm happy to answer questions.
Thanks for looking,
Scott
