1974 Porsche 911 NO RESERVE Description

1974 PORSCHE 911 COUPE

NO RESERVE

Thanks for checking out this 1974 Porsche 911 Coupe. This is a really neat car, span>from my research, t looks to have the original numbers matching engine and gearbox:. VIN:9114101331, ngine #6142295 (1974- 9114100001-9114104014), nd Gearbox 915/06-73413822, rom information on the net, nd from my Porsche Red Book everything seems to be inline, ou may want to do our own research as well. This is a Special Order Code 700 Factory Black, ith black interior, ard to find these early cars in black, specially since it was a special order option. As you probably already have realized the Porsche market is on the rise and rightfully so. The secret is out and people are starting to understand the legacy of these cars and the performance that they deliver. These are real sports cars right off the assembly line, ery nimble, ood power, erfectly balanced and all in all they are beautiful cars. No other car company has been able to build a car like the 911 and basically use the same shape for over 40 years. This is a good car, ut is currently a project in its present condition. It has been sitting for the last few years, ut it does currently fire up, pits and sputters, ut overall it will be a good runner. We did a compression check on it, -180, -180, -195, -200, -195, -180 which is very good high compression, span>but will need a full service tune-up in general. Its biggest need right now, s the front horseshoe pan replaced under the car, ere the battery is, his is the area in front of gas tank under nose of the car where the lower A bars connect. I know that various Porsche parts companies make this piece like Pelican parts, t is a common repair on these early cars. I never have driven this car, ust moved it around the in driveway, ntil the new pan is installed, t is not drivable. I took a ton of photos, lease look at them all, he car is in very good shape for its age, nd this one that is worth restoring, ot only because it is 911, ut for the fact it is a factory black coupe, nd numbers matching.

Give me a call if you need any questions answered or interested in a Buy It Now, hanks, ason – 503-910-2085

This car is a project, ut a very good project for someone who has some restoration skills. The engine does run like I mentioned, ust needs a good tuning, ince it has been sitting, lean the injectors, si etc. It does turn over freely, nd it will eventually start, t has been sitting for a few years. It spits and sputters some, t has the CSI, hich seems to be working good, ut a little sticky, ut some of the injectors seem to be a little sticky, nd causes it to flood out. The engine when running does sound good, hen it revs up, o noise, ounds nice and tight, fter gets past the popping and sputtering from the fuel system, span>it seems in pretty good shape, he compression check was very helpful, t is a strong engine, esides needing a major tuneup. As I mentioned before I have never driven the car, ut I have moved it around in the driveway, nd put it through the gears on my lift. It does have brakes as well, nd have good pressure, nd emergency brake works.

It has a clean and clear Oregon title which the title matches the VINs on the car as well, oor jam, spots under bonnet, nd window, lso has its original color tag on the drivers door jam. Take a look at the pictures, sk questions, e hope it goes to a very good home.

The body on the car is in fairly good condition. It has been repainted, nd obviously needs repainted. There are a few blister bubbles on different areas of the car, ook at the pictures and you will get a very good idea of what it is and what it isn’t. The undercarriage is amazing on the car, esides the front under nose area. It has an amazing floor pan, ockers are clean, nside the rear and front wheel tubs very nice, nside the fenders look good, nd accident free. I took a lot of time taking photos so you can see what it is, he rust is very isolated to the battery –horse shoe pan area. Very easy to get to, hen you take the gas tank out. When you look at the structure of this car and its integrity it is pretty amazing for 1974, his is what you want to start with if you are building a project. This is a very good 911 coupe, ith a lot of potential and pedigree. As you will see in the pictures, he paint is weather checked and flaking off in some areas, span>looks straight down the sides, o major dents, aybe a few tiny dings, ut overall the body is pretty clean and not wavy. This is a car though, fter you do some work, ou could just drive it as is, ntil you decided to paint it, ust fix the horseshoe and get it mechanically back on the road and enjoy it this summer. Overall a very good solid body. Take a look at the photos and you will see a pretty much what it is. I took pictures inside out, o scroll down and you will see over 100 photos of it.

The interior obviously will need restoration, ut overall in pretty decent original condition. It’s main needs inside is to have the seats redone, he drivers side is the worst, ut might as well do both to match. The carpet has some fading to it, span>door panels look nice, span>. Dash pad is in intact but has a couple small cracks. I have not driven the car so not sure about what is working correctly when it comes to speedometer and odometer it reads 23,716. Here is what I know works in the gauges, il Temp, il Level, il Pressure all work. The Tach works, ut sometimes you have to tap on the gauge to get it to come back down gets stuck on 2K, hen you shut it off. Radio, eater blower, igarette lighter and wipers do not work. 1 dome light works, brake light out, ackup lights do not work, eadlights Taillights and turn signals do work as well as emergency flashers. All the glass is in good shape, o chips. Side glass rolls up good. The doors shut nicely, askets around door and windows look to be in good shape. Overall take a look at the interior pictures and you will get a very good idea of what it is.

The car does roll, nd steer, t does have brakes, hen it is getting ready to transport, t is better for it to be rolled on and off their truck, e could start it up, nd pull it on, ut for them to get it started during transport, t might be hard for them, specially if they are not Porsche people, ust easier that way. It has original Fuch wheels on it, nd the tires are worn, nd will need replaced. This is a project car, ut a very good one.
