1977 Porsche 911 s Description

This is for everyone that thought the early 911 market had passed them by. This 911S was originally delivered in France through Sunauto a Paris dealer. I got this car from an owner of 20 years who drove it very little. When the original engine went south on him he had a 1970 2.2L engine installed and never really got the original carbs sorted out. He kept the original fuel injection system but not much else. My theory was to pull the '70 engine out since it's probably worth more than the whole car, install a period correct short block with the correct injection system and sell that as a project for someone to tinker with. That would leave me with a complete, great running engine (160 psi in all cylinders) for a long nose tub. Well the '68 I was going to use is going a different direction so I figured I'd let someone else take advantage of this find. The engine has just gotten a full service with the carbs rebuilt and it purrs like a kitten and can be driven in the car as is but I think it's worth a lot more in an early car. The car has some issues but not expensive ones. These cars were`galvanized so rust was not an issue but there is some rust on the front pan where a battery froze and leaked inside. My metal guy says it's a $700 repair as it does not need a front pan. Interior has been restored correctly with the corduroy inserts. This was the first year with power brakes and the booster is still in place although not connected. The car was original Irish Green w/ black, now Alaska Blue Metallic (a '73 color). 20 year old tires need to be replaced with the tire of your choice. The alloy wheels are 15" as that was the stock wheel in 1977. Don't let this one get away you don't see many like this. I'm open to reasonable offers.
