1979 Porsche 911SC
1979 Porsche 911 Targa Description
This is a 1979 911SC with a 3.2 from a 1987 Carerra. The transplant was done well and was authorized by the California Bureau of Automotive Repairs (see photo). The car is 100 percent rust free and (until recent move to Texas) a lifetime California car. I had a very recent tune-up (70 miles ago) at a local Porsche shop in Dallas. Valves were adjusted, oil, cap/rotor, and plugs changed, and cv boots were replaced. It is a very strong running engine and has zero smoke on a cold start. The car also has Bosch H4 lamps and turbo valve covers. The car does have some obvious cosmetic deficiencies in the paint, and I have obtained a much better looking targa top that will go with the car in lieu of the current one. Neither top leaks (again, zero rust on the car and no evidence of water penetration. This was a factory a/c car, and a compressor will be included with the sale, though it's been removed from the engine. All other a/c parts appear to still be with the car.Why am I selling? I very recently bought the car as I was looking for a driver. While this car is most definitely a driver, my better half would like something with a bit better paint. Other than that, I am perfectly happy with the car and would love to keep it. Itis for sale locally, so I do have to reserve the right to end it early. On Apr-29-17 at 12:42:04 PDT, seller added the following information:I forgot to mention the car also has new tires and a new shifter coupler bushing set.
