BEAUTIFUL, RUNNING, NUMBERS MATCHING SURVIVOR
1968 Porsche 912 Coupe, 5 Speed, Durant mirror, Real Fuchsfelge wheels! Solid example of a 912.
-Original engine runs good and the 5 speed shifts smoothly through all the gears. Clutch is good.
-Body is straight, Fuchs rims in good shape, all glass and trim is intact, all chrome is there and in good condition, light pitting on some parts and paint has some scratches and dents from storage. The undercarriage is mostly rust free except for one small area of the drivers side floor pan. See pictures!
-Interior is dated, dash has one crack in it, headliner looks good. There are some minor issues such as a window regulator and interior door handle on driver's door. I planned on having interior redone.
-Electrical system is fine, all lights work, newer battery and starter, the car fires right up and the generator charges properly.
-Tires: the 4 BF Traction TA's have tons of tread but they are getting old and should probably be replaced.
-ALL parts ever replaced have been genuine Porsche. Includes a box of new and spare parts.
My brother has a 1966 912 and I fell in love with these cars, he helped me buy this car in Phoenix over ten years ago, and we cruised and attended 912 events together. We were recently doing brake work including a new master cylinder and rebuilt calipers, but last month he was in a motorcycle accident and passed on way too early at age 41.
I have no choice now but to sell my car to support my family through this. The new master cylinder will need to be bled in order for the car to be driven safely. Please plan on towing it away and finishing the brake job.
-ALL parts ever replaced have been genuine Porsche. Includes a box of new parts and Porsche 912 repair manual.
