The current owner bought this Porsche from a High line dealer in 2015. The car has a Car Fax no accident report going back to the first report in 1997. Also included is a letter of authenticity that shows the number on the engine and transmission are the components that it was born with new. Also includes copies of the last engine and transmission freshening services. The owners collection has out grown his toy room, and I suggested this car to sell first.

This Porsche has been left very original and mostly untouched, and I really like seeing it that way. I am very impressed that someone has not tried to hide things, or spruce things up. Certainly you could at some point polish the frames of the windows, and dress the plastic and rubber. Yet there is something really positive seeing it the way that it is in a natural state!

The car could benefit from a little spring detail to remove dust, and to be prepared for the summer season as its been sitting during the winter.

DETAILS OF CAR:

* Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche Factory

* US Standard Emissions

* Steering Wheel w/ Raised Hub

* Blaupunkt Radio “Reno”

* Limited Slip Differential

* Sports Seats w/ Electric Height

* Adjustment – L/R

* Alarm System

* Electric Sliding Sunroof

* Air Conditioning

* Power windows

* Turbo

* Low profile tires / wheels similar to originals

* Records for freshening of engine and transmission

* Fact book by Porsche

* Air compressor and storage case- Porsche

Paint-

* The paint is very smooth and shiny, and matches well all the way around the body.

* Finish is nicely polished, and smooth without deep scratches.

* We see no imperfections in the paints application.

* There are a few brushed touched nicks in the areas that are really hard to protect, like the front edge of the hood and the fronts of the fenders and quarters. (See pictures)

* There is the slightest amount of checking on the right rear quarter, just forward of the taillight. (See pictures)

* The car had gotten a little dusty when we took the pictures inside, keep this in mind when reviewing photos.

Body-

* The body is pretty much lazer straight, and without reservation of saying that with the only slight little deviation that can be seen on the lower third of the drivers door. While we know black cars are very unforgiving, this may not even show in pictures.

* The gaps between panels appear to be very uniform, without any obvious issues that we can see.

Magnetic Gauge-

* On each panel we took a couple of random paint depth readings with a spring loaded paint gauge, and found that most of the paint was in the 6-9 mils range. The only obvious readings that where different and a slightly higher number would have been the right rear quarter, which would explain the little bit of checking we see. Also the drivers door had a little higher reading, which the current owner told us he did have that door repainted because of a small bubble along the top edge.

Bright work and Flat black area -

* All of the flat black painted trim on the car(again in a very natural unaltered state) is all in good condition, and we do not notice any areas where the finish is flawed or worn severely. Looking close at pictures you will see it has been left natural without being polished, which people will do at times. I like the fact that we are again seeing unaltered without improvement trying to be made, and in its natural state.

* The painted trim area around the windshield, plastic around the mirrors, and rubber around the bumpers show very minimal amounts of exposure to the outside. (See pictures)

* We did not see any flaws, except on the rubber strip near the windshield wiper mounts. (See pictures)

* Finish on taillights outside edge do show a little age. (See pictures)

* There is one very tiny nick on the drivers door handle that is almost unnoticeable, and possibly is unnoticeable in photos. (See pictures)

Glass-

* The brand designation on all 6 side glass pieces, and the rear window glass show to be “Sekuirt”, the windshield appears to be “Sigla”.

* We did not see any discoloring, delamination, cracks, or any significant scratches on the glass. It appears the current owner did have a tint applied to the side and rear windows. (See copy of the bill for tint application)

* There appears to be a slight faint scratch on the windshield on the left wiper down lower, hardly noticeable but it is there.

* The windshield glass does have remotely 6- 10 little pin head size nicks from road debris over the years. The windshield also has several nicks much smaller than pin head size, which are caused by road wear and are very common. The only way to avoid their existence would be if the car was never driven.

Interior-

* The interior is very original with very minimal wear.

* The color all looks rich and deep, without much sun exposure.

* The leather is soft and supple

* We do not see any fading or damage, again look close at pictures.

* The visors have coverings that are good in color, they do not show any aging, and are good and solid without any breaking down. The sliding mirror inside visors work properly.

* If you look closely the headliner has held up well, and might have a few wrinkles in the left front corner of the sunroof itself. The back left of the sunroof opening has a small amount of loose material, but nothing significant.

* The driver bolster does have a little bit of wear, but minimal for what you will sometimes see, again look at pictures closely.

* The door panels front and back appears to all be intact, without a lot of exposure.

* The drivers speaker and storage area does have a little wear along the edge. More importantly you will see pictures with the side storage doors closed and opened, as often the arm rest/ compartment doors get extremely worn and bent or broken down depending on how careful someone has been with them. You will see there is very little wear compared to what you would often see.

* The carpeting has good color and shows minimal wear. Only exception being the drivers hump where the driver gets in and out, the carpet appears to be a little bit more worn. (See pictures)

* All the gauges show minimal to almost no wear, with the exception of a small scuff on the radio station indicator. Same is true with the knobs on the console.

* You will notice what might have been a secondary boost gauge or some optional item removed from the right side of the console, and the holes still do exist. (See pictures)

* The correct tachometer has been reinstalled (tachometer and boost gauge combo) as it was sent out for repairs. Some pictures will have the this, and some will still have the incorrect used during repairs.

* You will notice in the pictures we show the manual, and manual holder that are included with car.

* The turbo floor mats are a newer purchase, these where designed to preserve the original carpets.

Luggage compartment-

* You will notice the material lining all seems to be in nice condition, and in the photos you will see where we dis-assembled that whole area so that you could closely inspect where the refrigerant compartment is. Also the vin number, battery, and the front inside compartment area can be seen.

* You will also see the inflatable spare in the compartment.

Wheels and Tires-

* The front and back tires are Kumho, and the model is ECSTA sx.

* I do not see any type of curb damage or harm that looks to be done to the outside of the tires, or the rims themselves.

* The owner indicated that this is a larger size wheel, and tire than this car was originally born with. However they appear to match closely to the original design. The black paint all appears to be in good condition as well as the chrome on the outside edge. Look closely at pictures for verification.

Size Tread remaining

Left Front- 235-45-17 7/32 Right Front- 235-45-17 7/32

Left Rear- 315-35-17 7/32 Right Rear- 315-35-17 7/32

Engine and transmission-

* Upon looking the engine over, other than normal maintenance and replacement parts it has been kept as the car was originally designed. We did not notice anything on the engine, and transmission that looks altered or changed. Like I mentioned in the very beginning a good dusting and polish, it would be ready for next seasons show!

* Look closely at the scanned last two major services in the photos, these will give you a lot of information about the drive train.

Chassis-

* My first impression of the under side is it has not been painted, or undercoated to hide anything.

* It appears to be in really nice condition, and is a mostly original car that has had repairs and service as needed.

* The underside does not show damage to floor pan which is very common on these cars because they are so low to the ground.

* You will notice coming from the front, and over the left front wheel well, and extending to the back of the car are new air conditioning hoses.

* When you reach the back, and you take a combination of the two latest services which was a dis-assembly inspection of both engine and transmission in the last few years. You will be able to see how complete, and recent these main components have been gone through.

* You notice new shocks on the back, and how relatively small the amount of oil seepage you will see on this freshly gone through engine and transmission(See scan copies of engine and transmission services).

*We do not see any rust perforation on the car, and only the smallest amount of very common light surface rust that any car will acquire (front hook and front spoiler mount).

* You will notice the very lowest hanging in the front is the tow hook, and it does have a little bend to it. They are very easily damaged on driveway approaches.

Mechanical-

* Headlight washers work

* Windshield washers work

* Rear wiper does not work

* Turn signals work both front and rear

* Brake lights work

* Tail lights work

* Rear parking lights work

* Back up lights work

* License plate lights work

* Front parking lights work

* Fog lights work

* High beams work on headlights

* Low beams work on headlights

* Windshield wipers work, both speeds

* Sunroof works, open and close fully

* Left and right power windows work

* Power mirrors work in all directions

* Power tilt on drivers seat work both up and down, manual forward and backward

* Radio works on AM/FM

* Release for the storage compartment and the engine compartment work

* Heater does blow hot air, and the fan and controls on the dash seem to work correctly. As well as the switch between the seats

* Air conditioner according to the owner and servicing dealer it is working properly and blowing cold

* When engine is idling and warmed up the oil pressure reads about 2 bars which is about 30 Lbs

* Clutch feels good, not necessary replaced but is in good condition and has lots of life left

* On acceleration light or hard its working as it should, and the clutch is very smooth

* Car stops correctly, does not pulsate, pull, and drives straight down the road

* Steering wheel is centered

* When driving we could not find anything that appeared to be working improper

* Engine, transmission, brakes, and steering all work flawlessly, and as it was designed without any indicated problems

Test Drive-

We went out on about a ten mile, or more test drive. Chad was riding while the owner of Layland Motors was driving. He has been a Porsche owner, and has been servicing, and repairing Porsche’s in the Canton, Ohio area for 40+ years. I felt this would be the best representation of driving the car. He felt that the car was performing flawlessly. We rode on a lumpy brick road that he likes to use for testing cars. He confirmed the car is very solid without any rattling, foreign, or incorrect noises. On the road it was clear that the engine was idling very smoothly, but yet accelerating properly, particularly when the boost kicked in. He gave me a good spirited example of some of the cars capabilities, which of course was extremely impressive. When hard braking it was not only effective, but nice and smoothly accomplished without any pulsating or pulling. The wheel was very centered driving down the road. I felt the wheel and it steers quickly but very smooth. The clutch again was very smooth with a lot of life left, and operating very well, and shifting very smoothly. The tires and drive train was smooth right up to -100 mph.
