1989 Porsche 928 S4, 63,030 miles, NO RESERVE
1989 Porsche 928 Description
Up for auction is my low mileage 928 S4, purchased over a year ago from a 27 year owner of the car in Arizona. The car is in wonderful condition for it's age and drives beautifully. I drive the car on my days off, never in the rain and have put on approximately 1400 miles since owning it. Here are the highlights of it's condition:
Exterior: Paint/clear coat is nice and glossy with only two small dings on the roof, aft of the sunroof, barely visible. Two small scratches on the front bumper below the hood and a few around the door locks. Doors, hood, rear hatch close tightly. Side window weather strippings are worn. Window tint is aged. Wheels are BBS 18" with Yokahama Neova tires, date code - 2015. Front - 225/45ZR18, 75% tread. Rear - 265/35ZR18, 65% tread.Interior: The interior is in good condition with the usual exception of cracks on the dash and the instrument pod. The shift knob is aftermarket as well as the Momo steering wheel. An aftermarket stereo is installed and the stock speakers are operational, but with little bass. New Lloyd mats in front and cargo compartment. Original spare tire and tool kit (minus the pliers). All Gauges, switches, and knobs are operational. The power seats function correctly and the leather seats are good condition for their age with some cracking in the drivers seat. Drivetrain: The Engine runs smooth with plenty of power and burns no oil. No warning messages, all gauges read normally. The transmission operates smoothly through all the gears. One or two drips from the transmission pan gasket right after engine shutdown. No static leaks.Suspension and Brakes: Rotors and pads have plenty of wear remaining and the suspension is solid, no wanderingA/C: R-134 conversio, runs coldExhaust: Stock except for stainless muffler bypass. Some Previous service records:Transmission front pump internal o-ring replaced, 10/2014Timing bel, water pump, cam, crank, and oil pump seals, idler pulley and tensioner @59,000 miles, June 2012Replaced torque tube, 08/2011A/C r134 conversio, 07/2010New fuel injectors, 07/2008New Service:Replaced tie rods, front sway bar mount bushings, strut adjustment, 4 wheel alignmentReplaced cracked fuel vapor Y fitting at charcoal canisterRebuilt alternator, new beltReplaced leaking power steering line, new fluidSynthetic oil change, air and oil filter.New fuel line installed under oil filler.Replaced hood struts. Other: Included in the sale are the OEM wheels, steering wheel, muffler and a car cover. In 1985 my new girlfriend (now wife) pulled up in her dad's 928 and I quickly fell in love with her and the car. 31 years later I finally checked one off my bucket list and bought this 928. It's been a lot of fun and I know the next owner will be extremely pleased with it. Although the timing belt only has 3,000 miles of use it's about time for replacement due to age. For this reason and the needed dash repair I listed the starting price at $12,500.
