Way back in 2008 we were shopping for an undisturbed 1989 Speedster when we stumbled upon this one. The car had only covered 79 miles from new. The original owner had the Speedster delivered to his Arizona home from Camelback Porsche and promptly put it up on jack stands without ever driving it. A friend told me about an ad that he had seen for the car and I happened to be only a few states away from Arizona at the time, so I dropped in to take a look. They had just woken the car from its 19 year slumber and was one of the first "as advertised" cars that I had ever purchased. Fast forward 9 years later and the second owner decided to part with her. The car had only 10 maintenance miles since and remained simply an undisturbed authentic find cherished by its 2 collectors. The unique features on this car are in fact, the lack of options. In 1989, dealers loaded the cars up with every option available just to increase the MSRP's and get every dime out of their prospective buyers. This is one of only a handful that I have ever seen without A/C and without Sport Seats. The opportunity to buy an "in the wrapper" Speedster rarely exists anymore, as they are coveted by their caretakers. This is one of those opportunities!
