1976 Porsche 911 S coupe very low miles time capsule collector California car
1976 Porsche 911 Description
This is a great 1976 Porsche 911S sunroof coupe with low miles (22,000). It's in excellent condition. I bought this car from the original owners estate here in California where it had been stored since 1979. We brought it back to my shop and drained and changed all the fluids, replaced the battery and fired it up, and to my surprise..... it ran fine. It had been a long time since I heard one of these 2.7 engines with factory stainless steel exhaust. There is nothing like it. How nice is sounds. And did I mention that this car is fast! We did inspect this car to make sure that miles are correct, suspension and steering are tight, the trans shifts like butter and the engine is fast and smooth with no leaks or smoke. The interior is excellent and it is the rare blue / black color combo. The vinyl is black, but the carpets are very blue, almost black, and it's all original. Oh and the dash is not cracked either. We did, however, have to re-spray the silver paint as original (the factory paint) was badly faded and checked on the roof, finders and lids (this was very common on most german silver cars in that era). The car was sanded down and windows were removed and painted with high quality original color paint, not striped. The bottom of the car is mint, no rust ever and, keep in mind that the pix show original bottom and floors as factory. We only cleaned them. We did replace the headliner, windshield seals and all other body rubbers needed to make this car look like new. This car was painted a few years ago and I only drove it a few hundred miles. It has just been setting in my warehouse with the rest of my collection. Please email me for more pix or info.
