A well kept car with a new convertible top, and newly upholstered seats. The exterior is in very good condition and is original. A father and son have enjoyed this car for over a decade and have come to a time to part with this beauty.
As most Porsche enthusiasts will know the oil seals on the engines need to eventually be replaced. This car is in need of new seals. We have considered re-sealing the engine before selling but there are people who might want to do things differently with the car so we left it untouched so the new owners can decide how they would like to proceed. The estimate from my local German mechanic to replace seals, do some other recommended maintenance while engine is out for the job (replace rings, main and rod bearings, remove cylinder head ridge, burnish cylinders, grind valves, replace steering rack, clean and reassemble) was $7,200. It can be done for less, or for considerably more depending on the individual. The same shop is able and willing to do repair for anyone who is interested.
