This classic air-cooled 1979 Porsche 911 SC was originally purchased new in Indianapolis and then the owner moved out to western NE and drove it sparingly.I am the second owner of this numbers matching grand prix white with light red leather 911 and have owned it since 2006 when it had around 66k miles on it. In those years I have enjoyed every chance that I was afforded to drive it and especially almost daily for a year in Vegas before the economy tanked. Upon arrival back in Nebraska in early 2008 I went to adjust the valves and saw that the motor suffered from broken head studs like they all inevitably do and I used the opportunity to make it bulletproof and more powerful than new. Time passed and I stored the car and began to collect the best parts to do the job right. Inlate 2016 I had the professional engine rebuild completed by Jerry Kierstead of GK in Lincoln. It is balanced from top to bottom with no expenses spared. The case was split, line-bored,and comes with Raceware headstuds and rod bolts, ARP flywheel bolts, a cross- drilled crank, Aasco RSR flywheel, GT3 rod bearings, the heads were freshly rebuilt, distributor re-curved, fuel distributor remanufactured, you name i, etc. and everything meticulously prepped. Hydraulic chain tensioners were of course installed as well as all the other recommended reliability upgrades. The 8.5-1 KS pistons and cylinders were scrapped and Mahle original 9.3-1 pistons and cylinders were used with total seal rings. WebCams 20/21 grind billet cams were installed and give this Porsche a nice lopey idle with a super strong 3-7,000k rpm power band. This motor also comes with original U.S.A. SSI heat exhanger headers and a 2 in 1- out M&K stainless steel muffler. The suspension was also completely rebuilt with green Bilstein 930 Turbo HD front struts and new inserts as well as new Bilstein rear Sport shocks. The suspension was also upgraded with 21/28 mm sway a way torsion bars and freshly powdercoated Carerra sway bars. New Turbo tie rods, Lemforder ball joints and all new sport suspension bits were installed and the car was lowered to around Euro height and corner balanced. Wevo engine and transmission mounts were also used as well as a new Sachs sport clutch kit and Seines gated shifter mechanism with stock throw factory shifter. The tires are Continental dws and have only a couple thousand miles like the drivetrain and suspension. The tail is an actual ultra rare early carerra tail a.k.a. whale tail part. # 911.512.010.07 base and 911.512.019.00 rubber lip that is in much better condtion than the ones on ebay listed for around 6 grand. As you know the body was galvanized from the factory and is super solid. There has been some paint work troughout the years and I would classify it as good driver quality and a true 10 footer with some small imperfections and chips and scratches that are acceptable for a weekend driver to be enjoyed and certainly not concours yet at this price. The dash is free from any cracks and the only interior bits needing attention to be excellent are the" light red" leather seats being recovered and a rear parcel shelf or just drive it.The rear defrost, heated mirrors and windshield washer pump which I never used are in-operable, The original Porsche Blaupunkt radio and cassette deck plays when it wants to but the sound the air cooled motor makes from it's cammy idle to redline is the real music to be enjoyed. I have over $35k in documented receipts that I can find and even thousands more invested. This strong running 911 should now probably last longer than us and only continue to appreciate in value. This car is an absolute blast to drive and own! It should be noted that there is a small lien on the car from my local credit union. I will have you pay them the remaining balance after down payment directly as they have the titIe and they will send it to you direct and quickly. I also reserve the right to end this listing for any reason at any time. If you are a qualified buyer you may ask questions and I will be happy to answer them. The license plate is not included but original Porsche tool kit and a newer whale tail car cover is. Have some real fun, buy and drive it home or I will drive it one last time to most places and deliver for you after your payment clears. Most importantly bid to own. Thanks and good luck!
