This car was the recipient of a rotisserie restoration in the mind 2000’s and remains in wonderful condition. Finished in black with a red interior, the car is a striking example of a 914. The condition of this car cannot be overstated; it is... stunning from every angle. The Black Lacquer paint is excellent, with a deep mirror like shine that only lacquer can give. The cars original 2 liter 4 cylinder has clearly been rebuilt and breathes through dual weber carburettors. The engine has been dyno tuned by Musante Motorsports and puts out 120 WHP. Mated to its correct Porsche “901” dog-leg 5-speed gearbox; this 914 is a quick car and a blast to drive. The car has had the following work and parts which include but are not limited to: Original 2 liter flat 4. Rebuilt Dual Weber Downdraft Carburettors. Rebuilt 901 5 Speed “dog-leg” close ratio gearbox (new bushings) 914-6 Front and rear suspension w Koni coil over shocks in the rear White powder coated tubular headers w heater boxes MSD ignition 16’’ Fuchs wheels (Plastidipped black) sway bars 5 Lug 914-6 hubs 911 Brake conversion; calipers, rotors, pads Battery located to front New fuel tank and fuel pumps New tires Recent tune and fluid changes Recent racing alignment The paint shines brightly and has a deep luster although it shows some minor signs of age. It was repainted in a beautiful deep blue that the 914 wears very well. The black leather interior is in good shape that also shows some minor wear from age. The seats were recently replaced as well as the carpet. The dash and many of the interior bits remain original with the addition of an Alpine stereo head unit. There is an added VDO gauge pod featuring a voltmeter, oil temp and oil pressure gauges. It was recently serviced and the carburetors were tuned at W. Jennings Co. of southport, CT, a european car specialist. The carburetors were rebuilt, synchronized, adjusted and the rejetted. A new fuel pressure regulator was installed along with a new filter. The intake manifold was also removed in the process and received new gaskets as well. A new ignition coil and wires were installed to ensure good spark. The engine is strong with racing feel, and makes good power and torque. The 16’’ staggered Fuchs set are in excellent shape, and the tires are new continental extreme contact DW; size 205/55/16 and 225/50/16 front and rear respectively. The Black interior is in nice condition; there is some minor cracks in the dash and around the inside. The targa top is in good condition. This car makes a bold statement wherever it goes.
