You are bidding on a 1978 Porsche 911SC Coupe Built to race in the PCA GT3-R Class. This is a Race Car not a Street Car. The car has 3.2L motor built to a 3.4L with Twin Spark Plugs and 50 mm PMO Carburetors. The engine makes around 350 HP. It has a Roll Cage and Fire Suppressant system. The car is documented with lot of Receipts and Service Records. The engine build alone was $32,299. The Transmission was completely rebuilt at same time as the engine utilizing a Trans Gate Shift Kit, and a Quick shifter at over $3200. The suspension has been converted to a Coil Over Suspension set up as well. The front breaks are ducted and have a fan to assist in cooling.
The car comes with several receipts and several Correspondents letters as he was sorting the car out. I have the log book showing the car was raced at Road Atlanta, Sebring, and Mid-Ohio. The car was last raced in 2005. The Previous owner built the car between 1996 and 2005 when he quit racing. He was a PCA Driving instructor as well.
The car starts and runs great and with a few updates (seat belts, tires, etc.) should be ready to race. I have just had a new Performance Clutch, Pressure plate and Fly wheel installed so it should, be ready to go.
I have so much paper work and pictures of the car and engine when they were first being built, I cant list it all on eBay. I even have the Porsche Certificate of Authentication for the car showing it was a very early 911 SC (#135). The car was equipped for Germany with no Sunroof, when built new so the Speedometer reads in Kilometers. The car had very few options when new. The car left the factory paint Silver Metallic, with Black Partial Leather/ Corduroy Inserts, Equipment for Germany, With Out Rear Model Designation, Manual Antenna.
Again, this car is an all-out race car that shows no signs of ever being wrecked, or any signs of rust. This is a very solid car.
I am selling this car with NO RESERVE so please look the pictures and feel free to email or call 865-621-4012 with any questions.
I also have a walk around Video of the car running if you send me your email address I will gladly send.
