This is a 1986 Carrera sunroof coupe in rare Nutmeg brown metallic with only 103k miles selling at NO RESERVE. The interior has the factory optional full leather interior including front seats, door side panels, and rear seats. There is a split in the drivers seat bottom & bolster that the next owner can address. The dash is dried out and has the usual cracks from the sun. The gauges have corrosion on the bezels should the next owner want to cosmetically clean them up a little. Mechanically the car runs excellent. The engine runs very smooth and pulls extremely hard! Extremely powerful engine, more so than I remember any 3.2 to be. After it sits for a period of time it can smoke on start up but then it clears away. The brakes were recently all rebuilt. All four brake calipers were rebuilt along with a brake fluid flush. The clutch is nice and firm. Syncros feel good. I would put new shift bushings as of recent they become wobbly, common easy fix. The paint on the car is mediocre and aged. The paint on the roof is milky. It’s not a show car but an excellent driver. Yes there’s some minor dings throughout, but nothing major. Never any accidents. Zero rust. The car was at a shop back in 2009 and heavy rain caused a small flood in the shop when the car was getting serviced and water got only to the bottom of the door just enough to get the computer/ECU wet under the seat. Since the owner had multiple cars he filed an insurance claim and all his cars were total loss according to the insurance company. So he immediately bought the car back from the insurance company for pennies on the dollar, bought a new ECU and it fired right up. That’s it! So he made out good on the deal after insurance paid him and he bought the car back. Unfortunately the insurance company issued a total loss title, but the CArfax is still clean and again, no accidents, no fire, no theft, or any of that nonsense. Was purely a minor flood that the owner took a financial advantage of an insurance claim. Structurally, the car is as solid as it gets. I've included under shots that show the tub- very straight and clean. Overall the car is a great driver 1986 Carrera coupe with low miles. This is a perfect car to hop in and drive with enjoyment. 1986 was the last year of the 915 gearbox cars and are quite rare with some rare one-year-only attributes. Additionally, this being a sunroof coupe with a gorgeous (and rare) color combination gives it a great desirability factor. I have a free and clear title. Please ask any questions you have and remember it is selling at NO RESERVE!!! Highest bidder wins the auction!
