1975 Porsche 914 - Rare 2.0 litre
1975 Porsche 914 Description
You are bidding on a rare 1975 2 liter Porsche 914. If you are looking at this listing, you already know how collectible this little Porsche is. Once shunned by Porschephiles, it is now a hot collectible.
She needs work, no doubt, but that is why I bought her. I have a 2.7 liter six, out of my old 914/6 that I wanted to drop into her. She currently has her original 2.0 liter motor in tact. I've not attempted to start her but was told she runs fine.
Again, the idea was to create a 914/6 GT. I found the fender flares, wide Fuchs rims, etc - pretty easily, but didn't purchase them. I have two or three cars ahead of this to restore (56 Cadillac, 1990 MB 300SL 5 speed, etc). So, I can't see getting to her anytime soon.
She was an original yellow car, from the factory, which I also liked. She was, at one time, painted black. Again, I was going to restore her completely.
All of the parts are there - nothing is missing. Glass is in good condition, but there are mismatch rims, as you can see. The body is very straight, the large top is in good condition as are the seats (may have been redone at one point.
Minimal rust (mainly a few small holes in the trunk). Happy to take more pics.
914 2.0 liter cars are getting quite rare and commanding good money. A 914/6 GT tribute is worth twice that. This car does NOT come with the 2.7 liter engine, but I am open to discussing a separate purchase. She has Webers and ran great before I removed her from the original car.
I am offering this car at no reserve. She will sell. I'd rather have someone buy her (a Porschefile) than keep her. Kept as a 2.0 liter car, she is very collectible. Set up as a 914/6 tribute, she could be raced and truly enjoyed. Whatever your pleasure.
The mileage is probably over 100k, I don't know the actual certified mileage.
A non refundable $500 deposit is immediately due after the winning bid, the balance within 5 days, no exceptions. She is also being sold as-is, where-is with no warranties implied or expressed.
Inspections are encouraged and welcomed. I want a happy buyer. Preferably a Porsche collector, like myself. I answer all emails and can/will take additional pictures upon request.
I will sell the 2.7 liter engine separately, recall it has webers. If you convert this car to a 6 cylinder, you can then sell the 2.0 liter four - which has value also.
Good Luck Bidding
