Just completed 2001 Beck replica of legendary 1955 Porsche Spyder 550.
Unique opportunity- unused 2001 car that was just completed at Beck/Special edition a few months ago.
Brief background on this special car:
I purchased it from theoriginal owner who resided in California during the 2nd half of 2015. I had been looking for some time and came across this vehicle that had beenpurchased in 2001 but never completed. It was like buying a new car put into a time capsule. I have the original soft top and side windows in the originalplastic never even used. The owner has provided me with all of the documents since purchase new. Engine/tranny was bought NEW in early 2000s and placed in car but never used. Was built by CB Motorsports. I have info including adyno(126 hp) sheet and is included in sale! I have photo docs as well of the vehicle prior to purchase. Car has disc brakes in front and rear. I decided that because it was being shipped from the west coast and the reputation of Beck/Special Edition located in Indiana, it made sense to have the car delivered to their location for athorough preparation for use before finally being shipped to North Carolina. They confirmed the validity of the previous owner's description. I asked them for as much attention to detail as their own "build" and went through the car from stem to stern bringing the car to be road ready and safe. Over a several month period they went through every system engine tuning, early engine break in and flushed/replaced anything that was necessary. I am very pleased with the mechanical work and the car drives and handles beautifully. Highlights include I had them replace all of the fuellines and linkage, new battery, new fluids, any new suspension part needed and alignment etc-I havereceipts.Basically treated it as a brand new build but I supplied them with the almost all of the new unused parts. I even had flashers for safety added. Cosmetic updates were limited to dog dish wheel covers (as seen in some pictures) correct colored front turn signals and correct side view mirror color matched to the car. I had any exterior imperfections also color matched as and the paint was prepped to as new. There are a few tiny scuffs on the inside of the doors but I would have to point them out to the average person. I decided to wait to personalize the car once it wasreceived. My thinking was I would over time... but that can be the job of the next owner. Things such as race numbers, badges, buckles, etc. -whatever one likes. As it stands it is a Blank Slate. A few months agoI personally received the vehicle from Special Edition delivery services (along with a very nice review of the vehicle that I can pass along to the next owner). The car comes with a binder of all of the documents andreceipts) I drove the vehicle with temporary tags per break inprotocol at low RPM ranges and had a local specialist do a carb and valve adjustment, correct type race oil-oil change and add an electronic ignition and it drivesincredibly well and fast. I have had a VIN number assignedto the car but have not yet titled the car here in North Carolina, that simplyrequires some papers that are included in the sale and some arrangements local to your state. I can help with the process as I was about to do it and is all set to go. Value: The car appraised for 33-35,000
Replacement is 38,000+++ and a 6 or more month wait
My buy it now and reserve are very reasonable.
