1991 Porsche 964 Carrera 2 Cabriolet Tiptronic, rebuilt engine, new top, brakes
1991 Porsche 911 Base Description
The car runs exactly as it should. No red lights. At 100 mph (a one-time event) the car was rock-solid. Full glass of champagne on the dash wouldn't have spilled a drop. The car is garaged. Rained on twice, both times en route to a service appointment. Never driven in winter. Properly stored. Never driven past 3000 rpm until engine at operating temperature. As mentioned, the interior is original and shows its age. One of the little buttons on the heater keeps popping off. The garage is carpeted. On startup this spring, the car developed a very small oil leak. By small, I mean a few drops on the concrete floor (switched to another of my 3 adjoining garages) in a week. The speedometer/odometer (digital and analogue) stopped working after the brake work was done, in April. If you check the differed odometer readings on the various bills, you will see that the numbers change right up to last month. The right turn signal needs to be held down. The right doesn't reset automatically. Weissach Porsche here in Vancouver replaced the roof, and gave me a verbal quote of approximately $400 for the part. All glass is excellent. Inspections are welcome. I'd be happy to answer any questions. Will assist with shipping. I am selling the car because at my age (mid-70s) I rarely drive it. As well, my house (and 3 garages) are for sale, and my new home has on-street parking.Price is in US dollars.
